List was based on age/contract/production/potential. This ended up being pretty difficult because we have so many good players with similar production. I included some of the rookies from this past draft due to where they were picked and their perceived value. If you disagree with the list please blame Pete, not me. I asked him a couple days ago for his thoughts on the list and he never got back to me.
I'm sorry that this doesn't look pretty with pics and screenshots, that would have taken forever to format with 50 players.
Top 50 Trade Assets
50. Shane Battier
Shane Battier SF 26 $3,115,963 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $3,115,963
Shane Battier SF 79 34.7 19.1 7.3 3.1 2.0 1.7 1.3 .412 .883 .332
He had a down year with those shooting percentages, but he’s a very good defender. I probably wouldn't have included him if Pete didn't just give up 3 future firsts for him. Battier does have +16 left.
49. Darrick Martin
Darrick Martin PG 28 $4,500,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $4,500,000
Darrick Martin PG 82 38.6 28.5 4.5 9.2 0.9 0.2 3.4 .451 .831 .463
That’s a three year deal since his MLE can be extended. I’d have him higher if he played better defense and didn’t turn it over as much.
48. CJ McCollum
CJ McCollum SG 29 $7,796,389 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $7,796,389
CJ McCollum SG 82 34.3 23.1 5.5 3.3 1.6 0.5 1.9 .472 .888 .375
McCollum’s been underrated and underpaid. He’ll probably offer Pete another cheap resign next offseason.
47. Brian Newell
Brian Newell PG 26 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $52,500,000
Brian Newell PG 82 35.5 19.6 3.8 9.7 1.6 0.4 1.8 .466 .894 .432
He had a down year scoring wise, but that was probably due a tanking DC for the Bulls. Would be a great fit for the Rockets.
46. Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond C 19 $2,718,403 $2,922,339 $3,126,182 $3,310,656 $0 $0 $0 $12,077,580
Andre Drummond C 19 7'0'' 275 B+ D- D B B A
Seemed like a lot of people were really high on Drummond during the draft. He probably could have been used as the main piece in a trade to acquire a star.
45. Bradley Beal
Bradley Beal SG 19 $2,773,881 $2,981,979 $3,189,982 $3,378,220 $0 $0 $0 $12,324,062
Bradley Beal SG 19 6'6'' 207 B- B- C B- C+ A
He was awful in the summit league, but I still have high hopes for him. Hopefully this calms Heebs' concerns that me and 20s plotted to make Beal the next Jake Shuttlesworth.
44. Dolph Schayes
Dolph Schayes PF 29 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $0 $0 $78,125,000
Dolph Schayes PF 82 36.4 17.7 12.8 1.4 0.6 2.4 1.4 .465 .914 .346
Feels like he’s been on the trade block forever. Maybe Trofie will get him and he'll get that Miami to Milwaukee bump.
43. George Mikan C 27 $11,616,459 $12,672,500 $13,728,542 $14,784,584 $15,840,726 $0 $0 $68,642,811
George Mikan C 82 32.6 17.4 10.9 1.3 0.8 3.2 1.5 .441 .788 .000
Finally started producing last season and is on a good deal. Bruns should get a nice return if he moves him this season.
42. Allan Houston
Allan Houston SG 30 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $36,250,000
Allan Houston SG 82 38.4 29.1 6.5 3.2 0.9 0.3 1.0 .489 .896 .485
Had the most win shares for a SF last season and obviously a great scorer. I think he’d be better off playing SG since he’s not a good rebounder and doesn’t give you much defense.
41. Penny Hardaway
Anfernee Hardaway PG 30 $13,719,514 $14,699,480 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $28,418,994
Anfernee Hardaway PG 77 37.8 24.3 7.1 12.2 1.7 0.1 3.0 .459 .855 .417
He’s on a nice discount deal. Would be top 25 if not for those turnovers.
40. Wayman Tisdale
Wayman Tisdale C 23 $2,863,892 $3,063,659 $3,244,443 $0 $0 $0 $0 $9,171,994
Wayman Tisdale C 67 16.8 8.5 5.1 0.8 0.3 0.6 0.6 .478 .796 .000
Could be a Zach Randolph type of big with that field goal percentage. His scoring should make him elite if he can get to 2.5 BPG.
39. Nerlens Noel
Nerlens Noel C 26 $6,366,938 $6,685,285 $7,019,549 $0 $0 $0 $0 $20,071,772
Nerlens Noel C 75 34.6 8.6 12.6 1.2 1.1 4.0 1.3 .433 .648 .000
Noel finally reached his potential last year, he would have been DPOY if not for Ewing. Noel’s on a great deal and all Victor had to do to get him was take on Derrick Rose's contract.
38. Dominique Wilkins
Dominique Wilkins SF 28 $8,500,000 $8,500,000 $8,500,000 $8,500,000 $8,500,000 $8,500,000 $0 $51,000,000
Dominique Wilkins SF 82 36.8 19.3 8.8 2.6 2.0 2.3 1.6 .430 .852 .394
I love Nique and that contract. If he can raise his field goal percentage to above 45% he’ll be one of the best SFs in the league.
37. Xavier McDaniel
Xavier McDaniel PF 23 $2,981,979 $3,189,982 $3,378,220 $0 $0 $0 $0 $9,550,181
Xavier McDaniel PF 82 34.1 18.1 10.1 1.5 1.7 0.6 1.9 .444 .724 .000
His efficiency dipped by season’s end, but I still like him and don’t care what Eric says. Hoping he isn’t the next Clark Kellog though.
36. Harold Miner
Harold Miner SG 27 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $67,500,000
Harold Miner SG 81 37.7 30.5 7.2 2.1 1.6 0.4 1.7 .455 .936 .477
Quietly one of the best scorers in the league and he still has +11 left that could be put into his defense. He was just traded for Shaq so I may have him too low.
35. Alonzo Mourning
Alonzo Mourning C 28 $15,125,000 $16,637,500 $18,301,250 $20,000,000 $21,250,000 $0 $0 $91,313,750
Alonzo Mourning C 71 36.1 21.5 12.2 2.2 1.0 3.1 1.5 .432 .866 .353
He should demand a trade if Canes doesn’t get him some help on the wings.
34. Elton Brand
Elton Brand C 82 37.0 20.4 13.0 1.1 0.5 3.6 1.0 .444 .848 .000
Elton Brand C 30 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 $0 $0 $65,000,000
One of the better bigs in the league. He’s basically a poor man’s Julius Randle that's on a much cheaper deal.
33. Julius Randle
Julius Randle C 31 $19,250,000 $21,000,000 $22,750,000 $24,500,000 $26,250,000 $0 $0 $113,750,000
Julius Randle C 82 36.4 19.2 14.1 1.3 0.9 3.6 1.1 .458 .837 .000
I still love Randle even though he fouled out way too much last season. Majic was just able to get him for a couple future firsts and Vucevic. The last three years of that deal kept him from being much higher.
32. Willie Lewis
Willie Lewis PG 28 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $0 $0 $78,125,000
Willie Lewis PG 78 38.4 26.9 4.6 9.2 2.4 0.2 3.3 .472 .846 .394
Victor gave up two top ten picks for him last season. Turnovers are his only flaw, but he’s still a top 10 PGin the league. Could be moved if Victor decides to go with Theus at PG.
31. Borat Sagdiyev
Borat Sagdiyev SG 32 $12,500,000 $13,750,000 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $0 $0 $75,000,000
Borat Sagdiyev SG 61 37.7 26.7 8.7 4.1 1.4 0.4 2.2 .486 .828 .446
Some may be scared of his age and contract, but I think that is actually a very good deal when you compare it to other stars his age that are on a second max deal. He should remain a top 10 SG for the next 4-5 seasons.
30. Chris Webber
Chris Webber C 28 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $60,937,500
Chris Webber C 74 35.9 19.2 11.9 5.1 0.9 3.4 2.1 .417 .859 .276
I still really like Webber even though his field goal percentage has declined the last two seasons. He could be on the move if Pete decides to break up that duo with Randolph. Nuggets should go after him if they can't get Shaq.
29. Dario Saric
Dario Saric SF 31 $19,000,000 $19,000,000 $19,000,000 $19,000,000 $19,000,000 $19,000,000 $0 $114,000,000
Dario Saric SF 77 38.9 30.5 10.1 2.3 1.6 2.0 1.6 .461 .911 .379
Top 3 SF in the league. Will likely be available this upcoming offseason.
28. Carl Nicks
Carl Nicks PG 31 $6,600,000 $7,260,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $13,860,000
Carl Nicks PG 66 37.7 32.9 6.0 3.9 1.0 0.4 1.2 .467 .880 .436
He's routinely among the league leaders for PPG. Getting old, but that deal is great.
27. Kosta Koufos
Kosta Koufos C 30 $10,300,000 $10,300,000 $10,300,000 $10,300,000 $10,300,000 $0 $0 $51,500,000
Kosta Koufos C 82 36.8 16.8 14.1 1.8 1.0 3.6 1.3 .463 .777 .143
Top 5 big in the league that’s on an incredible deal. His stats are gorgeous.
To the teams that had cap space and let that deal happen.
26. Sidney Deane
Sidney Deane PG 28 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $67,500,000
Sidney Deane PG 82 36.7 22.7 4.1 10.4 2.4 0.7 1.7 .463 .829 .379
Was 4th among PGs for win shares. He's become a very good defender with those blocks and steals. Will likely be available this upcoming offseason.
25. Fat Lever
Fat Lever PG 27 $14,062,500 $15,625,000 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $107,812,500
Fat Lever PG 77 35.8 22.9 5.9 8.9 2.2 0.8 2.5 .459 .899 .424
Top 10 PG that is solid-good at everything. Those .8 BPG are really nice from a PG.
24. Sleepy Floyd
Sleepy Floyd PG 27 $14,062,500 $15,625,000 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $107,812,500
Sleepy Floyd PG 62 37.3 21.1 5.0 9.1 2.7 0.2 2.0 .463 .827 .430
Of the Floyd/Lever/Deane trio, I like Sleepy the best because of his combo of steals/efficiency/turnovers. His scoring should improve now that Battier is replacing Ackles.
23. Ben McLemore
Ben McLemore SG 27 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $0 $0 $78,125,000
Ben McLemore SG 82 37.6 25.8 6.6 3.4 2.5 0.3 1.7 .484 .917 .435
Increased his efficiency last season and became a top 5 SG. Will likely be available this upcoming offseason.
22. Rodney White
Rodney White SF 24 $3,310,656 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $3,310,656
Rodney White SF 44 24.3 14.7 4.8 2.3 0.7 1.0 1.0 .470 .830 .448
I'm sure this may surprise some people that White is so high. He was really good last season when he got to play. Probably would have averaged close to 25 PPG if he was a scoring option and started. He’s a good defender with blocks and steals. Dump could probably trade him right now for a bunch of future picks or wait until the offseason for a sign and trade when he may be able to get more.
21. Hal Greer
Hal Greer PG 26 $12,500,000 $13,750,000 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $93,750,000
Hal Greer PG 78 35.9 25.3 5.9 4.4 1.2 0.2 1.9 .478 .838 .407
Great scorer, still not sure if he’s a PG. He has +11 left that could be put into his handles or defense.
20. Steve Francis
Steve Francis PG 32 $12,009,375 $13,210,313 $14,411,250 $15,612,188 $16,813,125 $0 $0 $72,056,251
Steve Francis PG 60 36.5 25.2 4.2 10.6 3.0 0.2 2.7 .479 .944 .400
Oldest player in the top 25, but that deal is amazing for Dump.
19. Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard PG 22 $2,830,491 $3,042,835 $3,255,084 $3,447,164 $0 $0 $0 $12,575,574
Damian Lillard PG 22 6'3'' 200 B- B B C+ C B
Seemed like some people thought he could go 1.1 in this past draft. Feels like he’ll be a similar type of player to Arenas.
18. Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis PF 19 $2,888,256 $3,104,934 $3,321,514 $3,517,514 $0 $0 $0 $12,832,218
Anthony Davis PF 19 6'11'' 258 B C C A- B A
For right now this seems like a good spot for him. If he matches his summit league performance he’ll jump up to the top five.
17. Otto Porter
Otto Porter SF 27 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $0 $0 $0 $78,125,000
Otto Porter SF 82 37.7 26.5 8.7 4.5 1.5 1.0 1.7 .478 .919 .442
Production is finally matching those grades. Great move by Tyler to get him for just two first round picks and Chubby Cox.
16. Sergey Karasev
Sergey Karasev SF 26 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $52,500,000
Sergey Karasev SF 80 39.4 32.5 7.5 3.5 1.3 1.3 1.0 .473 .885 .408
Love you Eric, but your Sergey trade was god awful. You could have a gotten a couple lotto picks or a good prospect along with futures that are better than Lakers picks.
lolwrongtmbsl.proboards.com/thread/11250/1761-knicks-lakers
15. Sam Jones
Sam Jones SG 27 $12,500,000 $14,062,500 $15,625,000 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $120,312,500
Sam Jones SG 80 37.7 25.5 7.1 3.8 2.3 1.0 1.2 .446 .894 .452
His scoring numbers dropped last season, but he's still really good and an elite defender. Could see Heebs moving him in a couple seasons if Beal lives up to his draft profile.
14. John Long
John Long SG 24 $2,404,104 $2,545,969 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $4,950,073
John Long SG 82 36.7 30.8 6.8 4.4 1.5 0.6 1.6 .462 .796 .392
The best player that nobody talks about and he has +19 left.
13. Jesus Shuttlesworth
Jesus Shuttlesworth SG 29 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $19,687,500 $137,812,500
Jesus Shuttlesworth SG 81 37.6 33.4 7.3 4.8 2.0 0.1 1.7 .460 .898 .456
I may have Jesus too low. His field goal percentage has really dropped while playing SF, he used to shoot around 50%. He’s still only 29, so he should be good for the majority of that deal.
12. Jesse Epstein
Jesse Epstein PG 27 $5,711,538 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $5,711,538
Jesse Epstein PG 82 39.2 24.1 6.5 9.1 2.4 0.8 3.3 .474 .865 .436
Young, elite PG that is on a very good deal and he’ll probably offer a cheap resign. I don’t know why anyone thinks he should be playing SG.
11. Hot Rod Hundley
Hot Rod Hundley PG 27 $2,503,232 $2,753,555 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $5,256,787
Hot Rod Hundley PG 79 38.2 28.4 6.2 9.9 2.0 0.3 2.9 .460 .912 .401
That contract is ridiculous. Hundley would still be top 25 if he was on a normal max.
10. Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving PG 31 $19,053,125 $20,518,750 $21,984,375 $0 $0 $0 $0 $61,556,250
Kyrie Irving PG 78 38.8 31.2 4.6 10.6 2.8 0.9 3.1 .489 .906 .438
His streak of six straight MVPs came to an end last season. Getting up there in age, but he’s still the second best player in the league and would make any team that isn’t tanking an immediate contender.
9. Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O'Neal C 27 $11,812,500 $12,796,875 $13,781,250 $14,765,625 $0 $0 $0 $53,156,250
Shaquille O'Neal C 80 35.7 19.7 14.3 4.3 0.8 3.3 2.2 .423 .687 .000
Had a down year, but he’s still one of the best bigs in the league and on a great deal. I didn’t really like that Shaq/Miner trade for Ank, if he weren’t in a tough spot with his cap he could have gotten a lot more. Shaq still has +8 left that can be put into his handles to cut down on those turnovers.
8. Reggie Theus
Reggie Theus PG 23 $3,002,386 $3,179,554 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $6,181,940
Reggie Theus PG 82 36.0 23.4 7.5 4.9 1.5 0.9 1.9 .460 .839 .415
I love Theus, he’s already a very good wing that is PG eligible. If he gets his TOs below 1.5, Victor should consider trading Lewis and moving forward with Theus at PG. Should also be noted that Ank was asking for Theus back in a deal for Brook Lopez.
7. Elgin Baylor
Elgin Baylor SF 27 $12,500,000 $14,062,500 $15,625,000 $17,187,500 $18,750,000 $20,312,500 $21,875,000 $120,312,500
Elgin Baylor SF 76 39.4 33.4 9.4 2.9 1.7 2.5 2.0 .444 .909 .402
Probably the second the best wing in the league behind Jimmy Jackson. The only knock on him right now would be his field goal percentage.
6.Prince Rogers Nelson
Prince Rogers Nelson PG 21 $3,126,182 $3,310,656 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $6,436,838
Prince Rogers Nelson PG 82 38.7 25.9 5.7 11.2 2.5 0.3 2.9 .464 .946 .397
Only 21 and he’s already one of the best PGs in the league. Could become a perennial MVP candidate by his next deal. Tyler has a great perimeter trio.
5. Zach Randolph
Zach Randolph C 23 $3,179,554 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $3,179,554
Zach Randolph C 74 36.5 24.5 12.5 1.3 0.9 2.1 1.4 .446 .740 .000
Randolph’s ranking may be inflated a bit due to his position, but he's one of the few bigs in the league that can score at a high rate efficiently. If he can get his BPG to 3 he'll be a top 10 big of 4.0.
4. Gilbert Arenas
Gilbert Arenas PG 23 $3,378,220 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $3,378,220
Gilbert Arenas PG 82 37.7 24.7 4.9 11.5 1.5 0.3 1.9 .469 .849 .363
His scoring declined last season, but he’s still great. Should be a top 3-5 PG for the next 10 seasons. I don’t care that his deal is expiring.
3. Larry Bird
Larry Bird SF 24 $3,321,514 $3,517,514 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $6,839,028
Larry Bird SF 43 39.1 28.7 11.7 4.9 2.2 1.0 1.9 .446 .844 .340
And another Celtic in the top 25. Bird’s shooting percentages were disappointing last season, but those should improve and he’s very good at everything else. There would be no way for Dump to get back equal value back for Bird while he’s on his rookie deal.
2. Patrick Ewing
Patrick Ewing C 24 $3,104,934 $3,321,514 $3,517,514 $0 $0 $0 $0 $9,943,962
Patrick Ewing C 75 36.9 21.0 13.5 1.2 2.1 3.6 1.2 .444 .796 .000
Ewing looks like he could become the best center we've ever had.. He’s already matching Shareef’s numbers on defense and rebounding. With the league’s lack of elite bigs, he is too good to be traded.
1. Jimmy Jackson
Jimmy Jackson SG 28 $15,000,000 $16,250,000 $17,500,000 $18,750,000 $0 $0 $0 $67,500,000
Jimmy Jackson SG 82 39.7 38.4 8.5 4.3 2.5 0.2 2.1 .488 .921 .465
Best player in the league and first non-PG to win MVP since Alvan Addams back in 3003. Not that he would be traded, but If he were, his worth would probably be two very good prospects and a couple lotto picks.

Ewing looks like he could become the best center we've ever had.. He’s already matching Shareef’s numbers on defense and rebounding. With the league’s lack of elite bigs, he is too good to be traded.

Best player in the league and first non-PG to win MVP since Alvan Addams back in 3003. Not that he would be traded, but If he were, his worth would probably be two very good prospects and a couple lotto picks.
