1. Golden State Warriors - Dirk Nowitzki PF 6'11'' 225 19 B- B C C+ C+ A
B- B C C+ C+ A (0)
Taco drafted Dirk knowing he would be a project and was hoping with his A potential that he would be really blossom during TC. Well, it was clear that Dirk wasnt training with the East Germans because he had a 0 camp. Which hurts even more knowing that the future of the association was taken one pick later. Not all is lost though as Dirk had a solid pre-season and summer league to go along with a respectable first sim. Taco will need Dirk to start cycling next summer though if he is to live up to the potential he promised.
2. Charlotte Hornets - Vince Carter SG 6'6'' 220 21 B+ B- C B- C A
A- A- C B+ C+ A (+7)
What is there to say that already hasn't been said. The Hornets got incredibly lucky to have the future of the association fall to them at 2 and then got even more lucky when he went wild in TC. Already averaging an efficient 25 points per game it is clear that Vince is bound for superstardom.
3. Milwaukee Bucks (from Clippers) - Rashard Lewis PF 6'10'' 215 19 B- B- C- C+ C+ A
B B C B+ C+ A (+6)
Somewhat of a risky pick here based on potential, but it panned out has Rashard had a plus 6 camp and gained some weight. Should be really good in a couple years.
4. Oklahoma City THunder (from Sixers) - Antawn Jamison PF 6'8'' 223 22 B+ C D+ C+ B A
A- C D B B A (+2)
Arguably the safest pick in the draft Antwan had a respectable camp and should be a solid player in the league for years to come.
5. Charlotte Hornets (from TWolves) - Mike Bibby PG 6'1'' 190 20 C+ B- B B- D+ A
C+ B B B D A (+1)
Need pick here and not off to the greatest start with a mediocre +1 camp. Bibby needs to get stronger and finish more effectively inside but at least his turnovers dont seem to be a problem.
6. Atlanta Hawks - Paul Pierce SF 6'7'' 235 21 B B- C B- C+ A
B B- C B B- A (+2)
People were worried about his turnovers after his summit performance so he slid to 6th. His grades still made him a safe player who will be in the league for years to come and he had a solid +2 camp to help.
7. Los Angeles Clippers (from Bucks) - Michael Olowokandi C 7'0'' 269 22 B+ D D B B A
B+ D D- B+ B+ A (+1)
Clippers went with a big in the lotto again and the Candy Man showed a lot of potential at Pacific, I'm sure the clippers were hoping that he would improve more than +1 after some time against the pros, but he seems like a solid big man and still has that A potential to improve with.
8. Orlando Magic - Matt Harpring SF 6'7'' 231 22 B- B- C C+ B- B
B B C C+ B- B (+2)
I didnt get this pick at the time and pre-season and summer league didn't do anything to qualm my worries. He had a respectable +2 camp, but just not sure if I see a big future for the proverbial coach on the floor.
9. Indiana Pacers - Raef LaFrentz C 6'11'' 240 22 B C+ D+ B- B+ B
B C+ C- B- A- A (+2, +1 potential)
One of the knocks against Raef ( on my board at least) was that B potential, he had solid grades but his age and shown potential made you wonder how much he would really develop. Well a +2 TC and going from B to A potential had to have gotten the Pacers thinking they have found a big for the long haul.
10. Utah Jazz - Bonzi Wells SF 6'5'' 210 22 B- C+ C B B- B
C+ B C B+ C+ B (+1)
Seemed liked a best player available pick and IMO this is where the draft started to really fall off. Doesnt help that he lost some inside scoring ability but at least he was working on his jumper. Not much hope here for a star, but you never know.
11. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Bulls) - Jason Williams PG 6'1'' 190 23 C+ B- B+ C+ D+ B
C+ B B+ C+ D+ A (+1, +1 potential)
I almost took WC at 5 but wasnt sure if his flashy game and personality would gel with the team. Not much of a TC but having his potential go to A could be big for future growth. Like Bibby he really needs to work on finishing in the lane.
12. Vancouver Grizzlies - Larry Hughes SG 6'5'' 184 20 B- C+ C+ B- C A
C+ B C+ B- C A (+1)
Volume scorer, not efficient, not a very good camp. We will see.
13. Brooklyn Nets (from Kings) - Tyronn Lue PG 6'0'' 175 21 C+ B- B- B- D+ B
B- B+ B+ B- C- A (+6, +1 potential)
Steal of the draft and looks like he will be a star. Great pick this late, but no one could have predicted this kind of TC for Lue.
14. Seattle Supersonics - Ricky Davis SG 6'6'' 195 19 B- C+ C C+ C A
C+ B- C C+ C A (0)
Dont see much to like here, got worse inside and had a net 0 camp.
15. Denver Nuggets - Keon Clark C 6'11'' 220 22 B- D+ D+ B B B
C+ C- D+ B B B (0)
I liked Keon when I first saw his grades and its unfortunate that he had such a bad camp. The Nuggets and their new GM are hoping for a big 2nd year.
16. Golden State Warriors (from Knicks) - Tractor Traylor PF 6'8'' 284 21 B C- C- C+ B B
B C- C- C+ B B (0)
Surprised with this pick when Harrington was on the board and seemed to fit the young, high ceiling mold the Warriors were going for. Traylor seemed safe but his 0 TC wasnt inspiring and its unlikely he will ever make an impact.
17. Philadelphia 76ers (from Thunder) - Al Harrington PF 6'9'' 230 19 B- C+ C C+ B- A
B- B- C B- B- A (+2)
The 76ers following the Hinkie formula drafted a teenager with high potential who wouldnt help them win.He had a good camp and its possible the 76ers found a solid player in the middle of the first.
18. San Antonio Spurs - Derek Vinyard SG 6'0'' 200 27 B- C+ C+ C+ C- B
B- C+ C+ C+ C- B (0)
This had to be a sentimental pick, old, decent but not good grades and clearly has some anger issues that could infect that harmonious Spurs locker room.
19. San Antonio Spurs (from Bullets) - Jerome James C 7'0'' 300 23 B- D+ D B B B
B- D+ D B B B (0)
I liked this pick seemed like a safe pick and I thought with a decent camp he could be a good D and no 0 big. The camp improvement just wasnt there this year, looking more like he might become the real life Jerome James.
20. Boston Celtics (from Trailblazers) - Corey Benjamin PG 6'6'' 200 21 C+ C+ C+ C+ C A B- B B B- C A (+6)
The only player in the last 20 years I could name from Oregon State and wow what a camp. Great size for a PG and with Dump having the resources to improve him I see a lot of potential for a star.
21. Boston Celtics (from Suns) - Robert Newton SG 6'5'' 220 21 B B C B D+ A
B+ B C+ B D+ B (+2, -1 potential)
Although he lost a grade in potential he had a good camp and could be something down the line.
22. Atlanta Hawks (from Cavaliers) - Rafer Alston PG 6'2'' 171 22 C+ C+ A- B- D A
B- C+ A- B- D A (+1)
Rafer looked great in the summit outside of the ungodly turnovers, not much improvement in camp but if he gets some resources pumped into his handling that could change.
23. Minnesota Timberwolves (from Lakers) - Roshown McLeoud SF 6'8'' 221 23 B- B- C- C+ C+ B
B B D C+ C+ C (0, -1 potential)
Got better putting the ball in the hoop, but overall a net 0 camp.
24. Chicago Bulls (from Bobcats) - Brad Miller C 6'11'' 244 23 B- C+ C- B- B C
B- C+ C B- B C (+1)
Mediocre player, mediocre camp.
25. Utah Jazz (from Heat) - Michael Doleac C 6'11'' 262 22 B C D C+ B- B
B C D B- B C (+2, -1 potential)
After his summit performance I am surprised that Doleac lasted this long. His rebounding got even better, but his potential dropping has to be a bit of a concern.
26. Boston Celtics (from Nets) - Nate Najera C 7'0'' 296 22 B- C- D- B C+ A
B- C- D- B+ C+ A (+1)
Love the D rating and his size but not much else improved in camp.
27. Boston Celtics (from Raptors) - Michael Dickerson SG 6'5'' 190 22 B- B- C C+ C- B
B- B- C C+ C- B (0)
Sentimental favorite of mine I was hoping for something to happen in camp, but it just wasnt in the cards.
28. Indiana Pacers (from Rockets) - Nazr Mohammed C 6'10'' 221 21 B- C- D B- B- B B- C- D B B B (+2)
Solid pick this late and had a good camp improving in the areas you want most for a big.
29. Los Angeles Clippers (from Celtics) - Earl Boykins PG 5'5'' 135 22 C+ B C+ C+ D B C+ B C+ C+ D+ B (+1)
Had a solid summit but needs to get stronger and better inside and it just didnt happen for Earl.
Round 2
1. Philadelphia 76ers - Chandler Chandler C 6'11'' 279 22 C+ D+ C- B+ B- B
C+ D+ C A- B+ B (+4)
Probably the 2nd biggest steal of the draft. had a huge camp and looks like he could be a great defensive big for years to come.
2. Golden State Warriors - Mason Salling SG 6'4'' 203 22 C B C- C C A
C B+ D+ C C A (0)
Nothing much to say here.
3. Charlotte Hornets - Slava Medvedenko C 6'10'' 250 19 B- D+ D C+ C+ A
C+ D+ D B- B- A (+1)
My black players needed a euro stiff to rag on during practice and Slava fit the bill.
4. Atlanta Hawks - Jelani McCoy C 6'10'' 245 21 C+ D+ D+ B- B- B
C+ D+ C- B- B- A (+1, +1 potential)
Seeing the potential go up had to be encouraging.
5. Minnesota Timberwolves - Brian Skinner PF 6'9" 255 22 B D D B B C

I dont know I screwed up here, but that is about what Brian Skinner deserves.
6. Milwaukee Bucks - Pat Garrity PF 6'9'' 238 22 B B C C B- C

Notre Dame Sucks and so did his camp.
7. Orlando Magic - Cuttino Mobley SG 6'4'' 190 23 C+ B C C+ C- B

8. Cleveland Cavaliers (from Pacers) - Bryce Drew PG 6'2'' 185 23 C B+ B- C+ C- B
