Same thing as east.
Top Tier
1. Blazers- Blazers haven't changed much over the years. And neither has their playoffs success. They have bigs who can't score and ball dominant scorers. That strategy was envogue at one point in th8s league. Not so much anymore. You need contributions at every level. Still the 1 seed though.
2. Jazz - I really like this jazz squad and could see them taking that #1 spot. A more rounded team than the Blazers, just not as elite at certain positions. Appears to have hit on his draft picks this past draft giving him a day 1 starter in West. Still not a huge delef fan as he doesn't provide much on the defensive end although he provides elite rebounding at sf. Good young squad .
3. Sonics - 1 elite pg and a bunch of pieces that fit around him. I didn't get the phegley trade as I don't think he had enough scoring to begin with. Krebe is a black hole down low so they should limit his minutes if possible
4. Suns - this team doesn't lack scoring. But will they be able to get stops? Team is getting even older so they probably don't have to many more runs left in them. God bless user ankly
5. Clippers - new look clippers. Added 3 new guys to the lineup in battier, webber , and Greer. Probably could be higher but they don't have a ton of depth. The 5 seed is their floor in the West imo. Quick turnaround for Yawn.
Rest of the playoffs
6. Rockets - Ward us open to selling off. That being said he could sell off most his team and still get the 6 seed. The West is probably the worst it's been since 2pac died. Embiid probably retires this off season. Houston is old and playing even worse defensively. Schröder could be had but likely won't be cheap. Watch out for the Celtics here.
7. Warriors- the Warriors haven't developed like user Taco thought they would. In a stacked draft dirk was taken #1 overall and he hasn't lived up to expectations. Lucas a year later was taken #3 and he looks even worse. They have an elite sf but that can only take them so far. Lack of development by the young guys has killed the Warriors rebuild.
8.Timberwolves- stole Dame from the Thunder but are still clearly lacking frontcourt contributions. Long is elite but not getting younger. Wade was snagged in the draft and will likely be a star. The Bellamy selection appears to have been a good one as well. This might be a case where getting Dame hurt them in the long run imo as they are still far away .
The rest
9.Nuggets - Tj ford looks like a hit . Has turnover issues but appears to be on his way to being an elite pg. Hawkins hasn't fit the bill after being drafted #2 overall in shitdraft. Couple more lotto picks and they have a stew going.
10. Grizzlies- Might actually make the playoffs. They were fortunate enough to get #2 this past draft. I was surprised with the Melo pick . Splurged on a pg who doesn't want to shoot per preseason. They won't be competitive as long as White is hogging up $ on a max deal.
11. Thunder - had the top record in preseason. I don't see it though. They could likely get the 6th seed out west but I see them selling off if you will. They shouldn't be attempting to compete with that core.
12.kings - getting to the bottom of the tanking barrel out west. They have the best player of the bottom 3 so I have them here. LeBron is a true cornerstone though. So 2poor is in good hands.
13.spurs - sold off Theus, Brand, and Lewis. They have a more complete team than the kings but no difference makers. Bruns has entered the tank zone.
14. Lakers - team will likely have #1 lotto odds. 0 difference makers currently.
