That was always the risk. I figured if I was wrong I'd be killed day 2. I stand by my logic though. I genuinely don't understand how Odin goes from "we killed Heebs first because we wanted to get rid of the most competent people early" to being a civilian and voting for me day 1. My theory is out of the water and I am voting for TimPig unless someone, through their actions or words, convinces me otherwise. We don't know who formed that strategy. It could have been JHB or Eric's idea to eliminate the "most competent" people first. That is true. Odin told me about it in shout, so I assume it was at least a strategy he subscribed to.

i agree with Heebs second point this feels alot like the execution of BK: no real game benefits but just a shot at someone perceived to be annoying/not active enough and before anyone questions this, i said the same thing about just randomly going after BK last game and i was right (even if we won) I would rather take a shot at potential bigger target than get rid of random players Just to make sure 20s logic is not lost or overlooked, his point is that the town only gains information if people talk and share their ideas/thoughts. He is not voting for TimPig because he is annoying or because he doesn't like him. He is voting for him because, all things being equal (e.g., there is no credible/rational argument for another player), we should eliminate the player who would contribute the least to the town and has the same probability of being mafia as everyone else. This is actually a very sound strategy. A silent townie is worse than a mafia... almost. I'll vote TImpig as well.

If we killed Heebs again in the first round he'd probably go berserk Could be fun If it looks like I'm going to be executed, I'm going to do the town a favor and admin kill myself so they can choose someone else. Reviewing the thread for clues and I found this post somewhat ironic. Maybe Odin was doing us a favor after all.

So I re-read the thread from front to back.
The only connection I could make was Pete was a little suspicious.
I DO NOT think this information is damning in any way, I'm just recording my thoughts in real time for the [potential] benefit of the town later on. Obviously I fucked up with Odin.
He led the day off joking about how pissed I'd be if I died first again.
He also advocated for the admin kill of Odin by arguing there was a difference between rules violations.
Other than agreeing off'ing inactive players first was a good strategy (pro-town tell) and suggesting Odin and I were conspiring to throw people off our trail (pro-mafia tell), he has not contributed to the town's collective thinking. He has been somewhat active and made some jokes.
He has not voted. Given how important the vote history was in determining the last two mafia of game 1, I think this could be a pro-mafia tell because he's keeping his history as clean as possible.
These are very, VERY minor points, but it's all I could think of when I read it.
Because Pete is an active player and I don't have any genuine suspicion of him yet, I'm sticking with TimPig.
Also, Fecta is entirely correct that this game leads itself to overthinking everything.

As I continue trying to understand this game, the one thing I can conclude in reading all of the various analyses is that it does indeed lend itself to overthinking.

I like to wait out the vote and review the evidence as it comes in. I did the same last game.
I was also being very earnest when I said heebs and Odin could be working together. One of the things that made Odin and JHB stand out to me last game was that their actions seemed in concert, so the next game's mafia would be likely to swing the other way and come out of the gates accusing each other. Obviously Odin was incorrect but the logic was sound
Until 20s verifies his status he's a prime suspect to me. He portrayed himself last game as someone who values honesty and if he evades the same question he was throwing out last round it would seem obvious that he is mafia. So I'm waiting to see on that

I think it would be very clever of two mafiosos to act out what Odin and I did. I'm flattered you and 20s consider me clever enough to do that.

This applies when you are alive or dead. If you are alive and want to agree with a post, quote it and say so. If you are dead, you are not allowed to interact with the game. Is that vague to you?
