Since I can't edit my post above, I'd like to add one more thought.
Odin is even more suspicious now because if he believes, like he said in shout, that I am competent, and he is a civilian, he would play the odds that I am a civilian and let me live past day 1 to help the town.
Because he's leading the charge to kill me, I'm almost certainly not going to change my vote from Odin. If I do in fact die and it is revealed that I am a civilian, I hope that someone remembers these two posts and Odin is killed on day 2.

I find it interesting when people defend other people this early in the game when we really have no clue as to what roles anybody has been assigned. that is why I am going no vote at the moment so I can see how people react before I cast a vote

The interesting thing about this game is that if you're a civilian, only you know that for sure. So in the first round, you have to make the best guess based on what you do know. What else do I know? I know Odin was a mafia last game and admitted in shout that he targeted me first because I was one of the most competent. Odin led the day off by voting for me. That is the only solid info I have and it leads me to believe that he is mafia and is trying to off me without having to use a night move. Smart move. I am going with Odin for now. Since I can't edit my post above, I'd like to add one more thought. Odin is even more suspicious now because if he believes, like he said in shout, that I am competent, and he is a civilian, he would play the odds that I am a civilian and let me live past day 1 to help the town. If I do in fact die and it is revealed that I am a civilian, I hope that someone remembers these two posts and Odin is killed on day 2. Sorry for the spam, but these posts got separated and I want them to be together in case I die and I am prohibited from quoting them on day 2.

Did Ankly say if the mafia could overlap with mafia members from the previous game?

I find it interesting when people defend other people this early in the game when we really have no clue as to what roles anybody has been assigned. I almost didn't make my post about let's not vote off Herb yet because I figured people would be like "protecting herb already, eh? sounds like mafia" but decided if I put the reasoning it would be worth it because the goal is for the town to win, not for me to stay alive. I think as town it makes the most sense for us to keep the best players around longer and vote off the people we don't think would help much (until we gain more info). Right now I know nothing and am operating under those premises. Herb is just as likely as anyone else to be mafia. All else equal, I say vote off the guys who won't be an asset.

Did Ankly say if the mafia could overlap with mafia members from the previous game? All roles were assigned randomly. It's a random selection every game.

I just don't think we have a clue who is mafia at the moment, I may switch my vote but currently I am sitting at no vote until I can see who is working together. I don't want to vote out assets like Heebs or potentially Odin without more information.

Right, we already established last game that a no kill vote is a vote for the mafia. I would have thought SPL would have caught onto that when it came to bite JHB in the behind last game.

can you provide a list, in order, of people's value as an asset? No, I don't think that is known yet as we have only played one game. The reason I think herb would be good at this game is based on previous interactions with him and knowing his personality as well as our text about last game once we were both dead. The reason I assume the noobs (taco, fecta, timpig, canes) would be the worst assets this round is because I think I am already going to be better at this game my second go round compared to my first. So if I have to take the chance of killing a civ to gain the chance of killing a mafioso, I'm choosing one of them. I went TimPig because he posts the least and I think active users are better assets to the town (taco and fecta are already posting in here). But since you asked, I'll give tiers Tier 1:
Herb - he is smart and pegged Odin and JHB last game Pete - he did very well last game for the town GBG - he did well last game for the town soup - he had JHB pegged and was leading the charge for him over yawn before he was eliminated Billy King - he claims to be experienced and in retrospect some of the stuff he said last game made sense Tier 2:
yawn - played last game delap - played last game JHB - played last game odin - played last game majic - played last game SPL - played last game eric - played last game (tempted to put him in tier 1 for the town side, but he was terrible as mafia so I'd need to see it first) Tier 3:
fecta canes taco timpig

It can't provide any benefit and just draws a little suspicion your way :twocents:
