Ok, we're a mere 2 games in, but so far there's been a shitload of activity and interest. We've generated 2000 posts (+60 in RCs lol)!
But I think we need to clear the air on a couple things.
Attitude: First and foremost, everybody needs to cool off. Way too much negativity being generated from these games. And that's really the key word. This is a game. Stop losing your minds and just enjoy playing. The game is supposed to be stimulating and exciting but not in the Jersey Shore sense, you know? And frankly people bickering endlessly is killing the Town's chances. This is a game of inductive reasoning. Starting a flame war is not going to help with that. Frankly, I'm not all that interested in running this stuff unless we see a bit of an uptick in the respect department.
External Communication: Just stop texting each other about Mafia. And no, it wasn't just TimPig and Fecta. Unless your role indicates it (e.g. the mafia), you can't communicate outside the thread itself about the game. I don't care if you're dead. Don't do it.
Authority: As we are still in the learning stage, this is not much of a democracy. Way too many people are speaking as if from a position of authority when they are noobs like everybody else. I don't care if you're commish, don't dead-post in the game thread 2 times. If you disagree with something or just want an explanation, just ask me directly and calmly (this can be in the game thread if you are alive. Should use other channels if you are dead.).
General Rule breaking: We kept it clean with shout but there was still some obvious rule breaking going on. Late Posts. PM Talk. Likes. Even a word filter. Odin got admin killed but he definitely wasn't the only one who deserved it. And that's not even mentioning the texting that's gone on.
Overall, mafia week 1 has to be considered a success. But we can make this more fun for everybody if we can just be a bit more thoughtful.
