My instincts were not great in the end, but I feel okay about how I played. I do think I had good reads on Fecta and TimPig's voting record pointing toward civ for them, but i was obviously way off on soup.
We were very fortunate for the start we got off too and basically just didn't mess it up bad enough.
Like I said in the other thread soup, sorry, nothing personal, just the way I saw it

Soup was right, I was rolling over in my grave when he was the vote. But I also had the benefit of knowing he was a civ

Soup was right, I was rolling over in my grave when he was the vote. But I also had the benefit of knowing he was a civ As dumb as it sounds, his absolute flooding of the thread with a bunch of stuff when it looked like he was gone is what finally made me take a step back and think twice (dumb because mafia could do that too) it wasn't enough for me to think we shouldn't vote for him at all, but I started to think it wasn't the sure thing I had him pegged for before so that is why i Held up

we have one rules question: how do we handle a player intentionally getting admin killed? i think the solution is to not reveal their role until the next day starts. this removes the incentive.
starting a majority timer can very easily become a tactic. i don't think we should get rid of the rule itself, it seemed like people became more cognizant of it as time went on. hopefully people are cognizant of it going forward too.
late game town tactics always get super duper messy. i think it would be helpful for the town going forward if we agree not to suspect people for accusing us of being mafia when we aren't a) verified by a verified cop or b) me. presenting reasoning clearly doesn't work because 20s presented reasoning that soup ignored last game, and they both turned out to be civs. there are always going to be way more civs than mafia, so most of the people accused aren't going to be mafia - don't take it personal, and the town will have a better chance.

I always intended to make GBG the vote I just wanted to see if I could trust Soup and 20s so I tried to put them on the spot. In the end I thought they held up and I was positive it wasn't delap because of SPL's post so I felt really good about our chances I was just nervous I waited too long to switch back and people weren't going to be around to vote

A player who intentionally is admin killed would be suspended for a certain amount of future games at my discretion.
I agree on the majority timer, although I agree the town could self-police that.

The more you push this idea you are the only totally honest person the more I think you're setting up a long con and the less I trust you.

Or maybe I'm just fucking useless so offing me wouldn't hurt the town too bad?

You were just the person I knew the least about in the end and I trusted among delap, soup, and 20s if 2/3 were town delap and one could flesh out who the other was since soup and 20s were so active

I'm glad you pulled the move either way because i was debating whether to announce that round anyway and force the mafia to burn one of their remaining two members on the bodyguard I think it is a solid play for cops in the future to announce themselves after Night 2 if we are able to take a mafia down on Day 1, odds-wise. We just need cops who will do the honorable thing.
