At least we got a civ that was going to be of zero help.
So why would the mafia take out Pete?

so now that we have voted out BK first can we all calm down and really start to have rational conversations? So what, if anything, have we learned from everyone getting pissed at BK in round one and voting for him?

30 minutes between the action of the town kill and the mafia kill are telling. I am going to hold off on a vote against soup at this time and I am thinking that multiple members of the mafia have to be inactive members on the forum. GBG, Heebs, Delap seem to be the most active members at the close do the vote. Are you thinking the mafia members would be guys itt at the time of close?

You also have some GM's that were not on the board for a long period of time before than. I don't think Soup or 20s would have taken that long in their deliberation of an execution

That the mafia is likely one of the people who isn't checking up on the thread constantly. I don't know how sound the logic is, but he could theoretically be onto something.

I don't have a strong read on where to go with my vote this round. Anybody have any compelling cases to share?

That the mafia is likely one of the people who isn't checking up on the thread constantly. I don't know how sound the logic is, but he could theoretically be onto something. it took 30 minutes between the vote where ankly anounced the civ kill, at that point, he would confirm with the mafia on what they want to do with their move, even if they had a move in place before hand.
So it has to be one of 3 things that caused this
A) ankly had something pop up that caused a delay B) Multiple members of the mafia are not active posters C) there was an prolonged debate on what move to make by the mafia
Between those scenerios, I am more inclined to think a portion of it is B at the moment.

Possible, and I see the logic, but also consider that the thread closed 30 minutes later than it was supposed to, which makes A seem very possible as well.

I think that getting rid of inactives is a smart strategy at the beginning of the game. So I'll vote majic as well.

You forget that the cop and bodyguard could have also been the ones holding things up
