Just fwiw I will not be letting this end up in a tie. Do what that as you will. IMO, if you force a vote on a specific player, then you should be liable and ready to be sacrificed if the person you kill ends up as a civilian.

So, if you're a civ and you prevent it from being random, you're REALLY doing the townspeople a disservice.

So, if you're a civ and you prevent it from being random, you're REALLY doing the townspeople a disservice. I disagree. If he is a civ he is making it random. The whole reason I wanted the double-blind random is because I didn't want us to follow a mafia member's "random" vote. If Soup is truly a civilian, he has no idea who is mafia. All he knows is he is a civilian. By voting for someone, it improves the town's odds because it removes the known civilian (soup) from the pool.

I think it's logical that I don't like my chances if soup is the guy deciding who dies when everyone else wants to vote random. I vote soup to preserve my own life fuck you soup for not going for random kill.

I personally don't understand why we on day 1 want to vote a civ out without any information. We should let the cop do his thing and not help the mafia in knocking ourselves off. This will prolong the time we have to figure out the mafia members and create a larger pool for them in trying to guess who is the cop.

If soup gets on board for random, I'll vote random. If soup thinks he should get to decide who dies, I'm voting soup because fuck that.

I'm saying that he is likely going to be voted out to be executed if the person he "randomly" selects to force person to be killed is a civ. So, if he has one civ voted off, then gets voted off as a second civ, then we will be down 4 civs before we hit on a mafia member.

We don't know if soup is or isn't a civ though Again, this is the whole reason eric was perfect for this day 1 role. My point was just that soup, if he truly is a civilian, would be justified in swinging the vote in OT because it improves our probability of getting M1. The risk is that if he gets a civilian, the mob will be out for him.

A civ kill at random is better than a no kill on day one.

This is why it'd be dumb to vote me just because I voted for soup today if he turns out to be a civ. This is why random vote is best. You're least likely to get caught up in a mafia push to Lynch a civ day 1. You got a highest chance of getting maf by random day one.
