Just a note on this class overall. Either Eric's spreadsheet leads to some juiced players....or 20's just decided to give a collective fr*ck you to all of the people complaining about the draft class. This class looks much better after this TC.

Round 1

1. Cavaliers

Great pick by the Cavs. Crawford was the clear number one in this draft and he has rewarded Shaun for making the right pick. Crawford should be a one man wrecking crew for the Cavs, he looks to be able to do everything you could possibly want from a point guard.

2. Hornets

+2 handling, +1 defense, +3 overall, +1 potential

This is a solid piece to start the rebuild for the Hornets. Brunson has a little bit of everything except for the rebounding and should be the foundation for Fecta to keep building on. Hopefully we will see some work on his scoring and he should be a very good prospect.

3. Magic

GM MehJ makes another meh pick for the Mehgic. Tinkle only goes +2 while the rest of the top 5 goes +19 overall.

But really, he could probably be a decent SF.

Triple J had a great TC and with some work on his block and rebounding could be an extremely valuable big. He has the scoring grades to make some 3's and be a little more efficient than most of our bigs in this league. While he does look very promising for Billy King and the Pels, he will likely always be remembered for not being Glynn Watson, who was picked at 5.

This is a promising young wing scorer for GM 2poor but you have to wonder if he fits next to Wroten, who is already a volume scorer and poor defender.

Very, very nice. Great starting grades, great TC, great offensive performance in preseason. If Drew invests in his shot-blocking, this is a game-changing piece to have as a big.

Fine pick by GM Duc who is eschewing traditional scorched earth tanking and has been rewarded for it with this pick. Wilton is a great start to building a new wing trio and should be a fine lead guard who looks to have a similar mold to Collin Sexton.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see as much of him as I'd like since Morlon Wiley (man, I feel dumb) destroyed worlds as the Bucks' starting PG in preseason.

12. Nets

A surprisingly great TC for one of the BASEketball duo. I anticipated these guys would be a bust. At worst it looks like Coop should provide some scoring punch for a deep Pacers squad.

Never take a software guy. Yes he only played 29 minutes in one game, but Friedman averaged 10 turnovers per 36 in the preaseason.

Not as good as Coop. While we're on the subject of Baseketball, I'd like to say that I've never seen it and never plan to. It sounds dumb. I'm planning to pick it up at the RedBox this weekend and check it out.

I was hoping Deng could be a Deng good D/R wing for the Hornets, but he had less than 2 bleals per 36 in preseason playing for the Magic. However, he was uber-efficient so maybe there's still some upside here?

Watkins was one of 2 D/R type bigs I was targeting to trade into the draft for. Let's just say I'm happy with my decision after this TC. He still has the grades to make it work, but not as promising as it was before TC.
