Welcome to the first (and probably only) Simon Says: Random Stuff About the League.
The genesis of this article is that I was going to write a sim 1 overreaction, but was afraid Sim 2 would happen before I posted it. Instead, I decided to just shoot from the hip about stuff I could say more quickly.
I will update this article from time to time. I recognize it's not as good as Face-in - deal with it. I hope you enjoy. Top 10 Contracts (non rookie contracts)Lebron James - doesn't matter 38.6 ppg, 9 rpg, 4.2 bpg, .500 .898 .263

The fuck is this?!?! Stealing another GM's article series, that's low. this coming from the fella who brazenly copywrote the rookie ladder article innovated invented patented and registered trademark of the Monroe Square Garden Company presented by Cablevision. Cablevision, your one stop shop for cable and optometry in the tri state area. You've tried the best, now try the Cablevision, it's what's for dinner. disirregardless, if we were a big city club we would have sued your pants back to the stone age for the article you copied and wrote, and they didn't even wear pants then, although your midwest media bias would probably spin that as the next hip fashion. well guess what not everybody follows at the heel of Seattle's beck and call why don't you try writing a single worthwhile followup to Loser, beck or are you too much of a... ...Loser ⌐■_■

I feel like everyone should be writing articles if this is worth 5k these days. I trust that those who voted 5000 did it on faith that we will update this article from time to time throughout the season. SUCKERs!

Day 85 Update!
Power Rankings 1. Pacers - Lue, Ewing, Cooper is a big three you build around. Niko and Hightower are fantastic role players. Josh Hart has been a disappointment, but it's a good thing the Pacers are loaded every where else. The point differential does not lie - the Pacers are the team to beat this year. 2. Sonics - Top to bottom the best starting 5 in the league. Not as deep as the Pacers, which could cause issues when the the rainy season hits. Severe depression is coming. 3. Royals - With Dillon really coming on, this could be the best big 3 in the league. However, this may be the last season for this iteration of Ward's squad. Lewis and CP3 are both FAs to be and will get plenty of IAN FULL MAXES. 4. Heat - Simmons and Theus are a great combo. The Heat are going to have serious issues when Theus and JJ retire. We hope Simmons doesn't have the same fate as Lebron James and the Kings. 5. Jazz - SPL really needs to upgrade his bigs, but he's still got a very good squad.
Top 6 Disappointments So Far This Season
1. Buffalo Braves - Nate Rob, MKG, Marvin Williams, and AD should be in the playoffs. It's probably got more to do with how stacked the Beastern Conference is, but it's still a disappointment. 2. Kansas City Kings - Reports are Lebron has demanded a trade. He can't carry this team to the playoffs. If 2poor could get a couple of great prospects to pair with Blakeney, he could have a stew going for the rest of 4.0. 3. Bryant Crawford - Maybe it's Shaun's DC, but we thought Crawford would be a lot better than this. He'll likely be the best PG in this class when it's all said and done, but he'll need a little time to mature. 4. Lipp - Why is Chandler on your bench. Start him or trade him. This is ridiculous. 5. Phoenix Suns - We thought the Suns were stacked . . . 6. Niko - Barely scoring 20 ppg and shoots worse from the field than he does from 3. Not being SG eligible will kill his value in FA.
Top 10 Free Agents 1. Rashard Lewis - Neck and neck with Lebron for the best SF in the league. You lose some blocks with Lewis, but also some TOs. Lewis is our favorite FA in this class. 2. Jason D Williams - There are a lot of great PGs in this class, but JayWill tops the list as his youth and first max make his potential and low(er) salary big advantages for the team that secures him. 3. Vince Carter - There are veteran point guards on this list that may be more important because the point guard position is more important, but we just don't have many dominant SGs these days. Vince fits that role and therefore comes in at number 3. 4. Chris Paul - Paul is the top veteran FA PG in this class. After being traded out of Orlando, he finally became the player we all expected him to be when he was drafted. 5. Yao Ming - We struggled putting a big man this high on the list. But at 7'6" with his efficiency and defensive potential, we had to give the former number 1 overall pick his due. 6. Jason C Williams - Not even starting for the Computer Celtics, Williams will undoubtedly be looking for a new home this offseason. One GM will be lucky to get his services. 7. Salado Valarado - Sim Soup needs a little TLC to reach his potential, which is an absolute sim stud. He's not gotten that in Dallas. 8. Nikolas Tskitishvili - A classic case of grades too good, Niko will get plenty of maxes. If he can improve his shooting efficiency he will be a star. It remains to be seen though. 9. Ndubi Ebi - Ebi is not a max player. Not even close. But he is a player we like a lot. 2+ blocks per game at SG at only 26 years old is very impressive. Despite his C outside grade, he's not a major liability from an efficiency stand point. 10. Caron Butler - Just kidding, Odin. This dude sucks and I've still got Lue. Vote a 3 all you want!
Pepsi Max Team C: Patrick Ewing - Still possibly the best center in the league, Ewing is an elite defender, very good rebounder, and above average efficiency scorer. He's going to wreck the geriatric circuit. PF: Larry Bird - No longer elite, but still a very good player, Larry Legend is still a very crafty scorer and great rebounder. SF: Jimmy Jackson - The 39 year old has not lost his efficiency even though his scoring volume has gone down. SG: Gerald Henderson - Sliding over from his natural spot at PG, Gerald is a natural scorer that will stretch the floor along with Lee, Jackson, and Larry. PG: Butch Lee - Bugger Lee continues to be a nagging itch at the bottom of the playoff standings in the east. He was a pretty easy pick. 6th man: Roger Phegley - At 35, he's a little young for this list. His efficiency and defense, however, make him a lock to back up the 2 and the 3.
Teams 9.5 games out of the playoffs that told us to mark down that they'd make the playoffs

Lol @ Spurs finishing 4th in the West. Just wanted to bump this. The two teams you predicted in front of the Spurs, the Lakers and Jazz, were the 8 seed and out of the playoffs respectively. Meanwhile the Spurs just got better as the season wore on.
