Pete was a civilian last game and did nothing to help us win... people bowing down to his throne is nothing short of fascinating to me

What happens if the doctor protects the BG, the BG protects a civilian, and the mafia kills the civilian? Does the mafia die and the BG live?

"Doctor chooses to protect someone at night time(can pick himself, but not on consecutive evenings) and if that person is killed from a mafia hit, his life will be saved." |

Because if he is town, I don't trust him in high leverage situations at the end of the game. If he is town, he will certainly make it to the end of the game as the mafia won't waste a hit on him. It's a kill with low downside. |
