preseason and summer league. 1. Donatas Zavackas  This is gonna be totally different from that time I anointed Domantas Sabonis as the top rookie and he immediately became garbage and was out of the league at age 24. For one thing, Zavackas won't even be off his rookie deal by age 24. He's a pure PF profile that is 6'8" and doesn't block or rebound, but is scoring with excellent efficiency. The best play is probably to write off his three point shooting, let him take TCs at PF, and fill out that part of his game. Also has Handling troubles, which are gonna stick regardless, but aren't devastating. . 2. Rod Grizzard  The GZArd is the most interesting prospect to come around in years. He's enormous for a SG at 6'8", his blocks are fantastic, and between the two leagues his efficiency looks average... but he's shooting in the low 60s from the stripe and with C Outside and all the threes he takes that's probably accurate. If dumpvine can drop +16 into that Jump Shot we could be looking at the Hottest Rod of all time. If he's left to his own devices, he'll get the +16 when he signs for the Knicks on an MLE. So... whatever. . 3. Majestic Mapp  You're so busy making maps with his name on them in all caps. You've got the talking down... but not the listening. If it was a preseason ladder Double M would have a case for #1, but he was horrid in summer league. Looks to have plus Jump Shot, Rebounding, and Handling, so even in the worst case he should be salvageable as a starter. . 4. Brett Nelson  It's not a deep class. Brett's here because he was great in summer league and didn't screw it up in preseason. He blocked as many shots as I did in preseason though, so he needs to keep the scoring up or day 30 is going to be his Waterloo. (You get it? Admiral Nelson?) . 5. Clifford Smith  Cliff is listed at SF but I think he's the best d/r big in the class and would move him to C at the end of the season immediately, if not sooner. He's a god awful scorer but doesn't shoot too much to disqualify him from the big spots, and he's got 6'10" of height and good blocks and boards. Granted this is not what you want from a 1.3 guy, but they can't all be Robinsons. . 6. Antonio Reed  "Speed" Reed lived up to his name by taking the absolute value of the quotient of time into distance. #physicsjokes He turns it over a lot, but relative to his assists it's not that bad. Average across the board, good spot from whencesoever to grow. . 7. Russell Jones  Another 6'8" pure PF profile, but this bastard's giving you halfway decent blocking and boards. Shoots way too much to be a pure d/r man, but in both leagues he had very good efficiency. I'm waiting to see if he can pull it off when the rest of the league isn't... Rusty... and if so expect him to shoot up the ladder. . 8. Jason Gardner  The Garden Gnome looked good scoring in preseason which is good because he has absolutely no other skills whatsoever. I doubt he can do basic addition. Should fit in great in Texas. #politicsjokes . 9. Adrian McCoy  Yet another 6'8" pure power forward. He's not good at anything except not shooting, but not shooting is the only skill you can't teach so I'll give him some love for now. Should be 6'10" when all's said and done too, which isn't nothing. . 10. Corey Woods Here are some words that rhyme with Corey: gory, story, allegory, Montessori. He was fantastic in summer league. If he gets some PT we can see whether it holds up.

.528 FG% .565 3 pt% .833 FT % 1.203 pts/tsa 20.3 ppg
Plus- 8.3 rebs 2.3 blealspg (1 bpg)
Preseason he didn't shoot or rebound all that well, but he did have 1.5 bpg. He might be an okay prospect if he wasn't C potential.

day 30 40 look what i am a mass spectrometer up here update. 1. Rod Grizzard - LR #2 The Grizzled Rod (Hash Tag GemStone III Bounty Jokes) is scoring at average efficiency. With a garbage Jump Shot. And rebounding. And he has the highest Shot Block rating of every human being in this class. Gotta tip your hat to ex GM Devine, he's found his next Champion Elect Michael Jordan in this fella. This is gonna be way different than the time the Warriors didn't win a playoff round for 40 years. . 2. Majestic Mapp - LR #3 William, King of Naught has a more traditional prospect on his hands. He's giving you the elite jump shot, he's giving you the rebounds, but could we please have some effort on the defensive end? Noblesse oblige, y tu majestas también. . 3. Donatas Zavackas - LR #1 What an unexpected outcome, the b***shit ladder #1 turned out to be a turnip farmer. (Hash Tag GemStone III Quest Jokes.) Naw I'm just playing. Dean Cain- LR unranked Remember what I said about human beings and blocks? Kryptonian is like if Yakub kept it up another hundred years with his honky making shenanigans. His shot blocks are savage. Savage! Barely even human. Low points, not horrific rebounds but not great. If I go crazy then I may just call him Super Man. . 5. Brett Nelson - LR #4 The Admiral's percentages look terrible but with A- Outside the Machine thinks he's got average efficiency, and you can see he's got those sublime handles. Those are the kind of hands you want on the conn helm when he's sailing against the Emperor ACTUALLY this DOES work yawn, you Neapolitan Napoleonian. . 6. Adrian McCoy - LR # ADRIANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN is the real McCoy, he ain't a head out west suckah, because he wants to be a JAZZZERRRRRRRRRRR. Microscopic scoring rate, unfortunately he also has a microscopic rebounding rate but it's a h#ck of a lot easier to grow that than shrink scoring. Already at 3 blocks per 36, if he can block like that and score like that he'll get money for sim centuries. . 7. Dennis Coles- LR unranked You know me. I like the bigs that don't shoot the rock. Dennis takes after Bimbo and has produced some legitimate points. With his blocks in the ones he's gonna have to to stay on the ladder, and iffy Jump Shot does not portend well, but hey, nah f!@# it f!@# this guy . 8. Lavell Blanchard - LR unranked I've always depended on the kindness of strangers, and I don't blanch at this fella's efficiency. Zero blocks in eight hundred minutes is far from STELLAAAAAAAAAAr, but the public transportation system in New York town at least has named desire after a slick scorer from the woods of Michigan like LaVell. . 9. Joe Shipp - LR unranked He was good in preseason and hasn't showed false yet on the leeward side. Shipshape. Yeah I'm running out of puns. . 10. Corey Woods- LR # Probably the best rebounder in the class, which isn't much but still. Got good blocks. Doesn't shoot too much. Dial 900 motherf!@#er. It held up.

Also at Trafalgar Nelson beat a French-Spanish armada with Villeneuve as admiral. So while yes it was representative of Bonaparte's Empire of France, he really never fought against Napoleon. So yeah.

day 60 70 update. 1. Majestic Mapp - LR #2 He's the only good scoring rookie in the class. My hands are tied. My hands are a golden lion, and they're tied. . 2. Dean Cain- LR #4 One of the best d/r bigs in the league right now. Blocks are inflated a little by his low height, but he doesn't shoot and doesn't turn the ball over. Only weakness is subpar rebounding, which should grow as he is exposed to yellow sunlight. Fecta has an absolute stud on his hands. Until he leaves after his rookie deal up, because #NOrthcarolina . 3. Lavell Blanchard - LR #8 He can score and he has good ball boards for a wing player. It's slim pickings in this class, okay? . 4. Rod Grizzard - LR #1 Lucky for @dumptime the Rod didn't last for 60 days, let alone 70, so he doesn't have to contact his physician immediately. If he finishes his rookie year as an average scorer he should be SC/RCed into a superstar. If he stays well below average like where he's at he can still be camped into a very good albeit very unusual player. Nothing's gonna stop him but divine intervention. . 5. Brett Nelson - LR #5 Has only slightly below average efficiency. Reminds me a lot of the time Admiral Nelson personally fired cannons at Napoleon "Taco" Bonaparte at Waterloo Square. Saint James expects that every Christian will do his doody three times on the poop deck before the coxswain crows. . 6. Joe Shipp - LR #9 He's barely played but at least he's been good when he has. Sue me. . 7. Corey Woods- LR #10 Would be a top d/r prospect if not for Superman in a trash can up there. (The trash can is Boston.) (Boston is trash.) . 8. Queen Latifah - LR unranked She maybe has great blocks and handles, which is good because she's poor at everything else. D-only wings aren't too big in the league. . 9. Dennis Coles- LR #7 The other side of the coin, D-Coli is an all-o no-d big. Gonna take more than the Spurs championship culture to turn that around. . 10. Donatas Zavackas - LR #3 He hit the wall too but everyone else is even worse. Congrats Donatas.
