Just because killing two Civs with the bullets didnt mean we won for sure, it opened the door for us. We likely weren't winning any other way. was it a bad choice of targets, though? majic was inactive and billy is always causing trouble for the town

Anyway, I totally would have flipped too because chaos would have ensued and that is fun. I was really hoping that you had asked me or Canes after we came out. I would have flipped for sure.

Odin Had I been resurrected I would have asked if the Harrison's would still be able to confirm the other brother's role if the their brother flipped to the mafia. Would the brother know? The other brother would not have known. After they invited soup i actually said one of them would have bee a good target.

You would've been a top choice to recruit but we were looking for either Jesus or Dr J since we thought they could ultimately buy more credibility by resurrecting/saving a civ than you would've as a harrison

I was suspecting you from the dead civ thread as a primary option as the turncloak until Soup and Pete came in with those last second votes for RV

The real MVPs are Canes and Delap, who left their votes on RV and gave us enough to get him out after JHB rallied the rest to 20s Canes wants to make a push for BKs spot as a shit tier Mafia player

What is lost in this is how scared Soup is of competition.
Instead of playing the game straight, he cheeses to try for a town victory.
After JHB misses, instead of letting the game play out he switches sides for certain victory with the mafia.
At the end of Cheat Code's career he quits GM'ing and refuses to come back.
Just sad.

We were going to have soup revive a civ/power role to further cement his credibility if we couldn't lock it up on Day 2. I doubt you guys were gonna lynch verified Dr J who just revived a civ (or power civ) I would've pushed hard for it.

The first pm fwiw: The mafia have sent me to deliver this message. what say ye? Hello Dr. J/soup. Please read this entire message and give it real consideration as we are offering you an amazing opportunity. We have strategically chosen you as the best candidate. We are extending you an offer to flip sides and join the cheesers. You would be joining us to pull off What would certainly go down as the most epic and the most hilarious mafia win in TMBSL history. So here's the current situation: you guys have all revealed your roles and it looks to be an almost certain town win. However if you join us we will flip the script and make it an unlikely and extremely enjoyable cheeser victory. Here's how it works: All the current mafia members claim to be vanilla Civs. You are the only one who has claimed to be Dr. J. Therefore you have essentially been verified as Dr. J in the town's mind. We have confirmed with Odin that you would still be allowed to use your revival power as a member of the mafia. Once the town lynches a civ, you make the move to revive them. This further cements you as a verified civ and the most trustworthy member of the town. The town will now be focusing on all claiming to be vanilla Civs as all the mafia will be in that group. There is absolutely no way that the town is going to elect to waste a lynching on a verified civ who has saved one of their town members. You will skate through until the end causing chaos and lulz throughout the game. This game of mafia and unlikely victory will be remembered as the greatest mafia game to occur on TMBSL. And you will be the one who made it happen. The key is in your hands. Reach out and take it. Join us and let's make history happen. Please consider the plan and what type of opportunity you are being given before making your choice. It can be just another ho hum game of mafia where the flawed design led to a boring town win, or it can be the greatest trick ever pulled and absolutely legendary.

I thought you were the most likely to flip so I considered it but I thought if we could get the doctor it would give us a much better shot because no one would be protected and he could revive a civ to further cement his credibility i think they would have suspected a twin pretty fast once a flip was announced

If I was going to use the potion on any of the town it would have been gbg before the day ended. Once I saw we had the numbers to get out rv and seal the game I just needed to wait for pete to switch his vote.

All in all this was a fun game of mafia with all of the different dynamics in play. I'd be down to play another despite the fact that I'm airing my grievances with soup for pulling one on over on us.

I think we need to be careful about too many roles so we don't open ourselves up to the reveal your role strategy again.

Once I saw we had the numbers to get out rv and seal the game I just needed to wait for pete to switch his vote. yeah I called this in the dead civ PM. when GBG said for you to bring him back in the PM I said the same in the game thread. But later when I felt you made the switch I told you not to... I was trying to figure out a way to sniff you out to the thread because I knew just pointing a finger wasn't going to get them to belive me. I ran out of time so the next best shot was asking you to bring GBG back asap so we could have one more full day. But time ran out and at that point there was no shot since you had the numbers anyways thanks to Canes being "busy"

JHB missing on both shots really hurt the town.
But the town could've survived had the Mafia not targeted and flipped Soup.
Looking at the roles and who had them Soup was so clearly the perfect blend of ego/emotion/power role to target.
I think JHB would've turned down the offer had it been given. Heebs would've been another consideration but after the last game a level of distrust still surrounded him.
Good work Mafia on that...
Quick question. JHB was killed night one correct. Did you also know his role at that time? Or did you find out his role when the town decided to share that info?

If we knew his role night 1 we would've killed him a gun instead of poison. Would've been a whole different game without those vigilante kills
