Hey! Stop stealing monkeys! What does this mean? It is a Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back reference. At the end of the film (not movie, film) when Will Ferrell, an earnest yet passive law enforcement agent, admonishes Jay to stop stealing monkeys. Jay reflexively says "Fuck you!" and Will says "fair enough." Your interactions with Fecta made me think of that scene.

Jester: Jesters are perhaps the role in Mafia with the largely variety of playstyle. A Jester's goal is simple as well -- get lynched by the Town (as opposed to killed at night). Moreover, if the Jester is successfully able to be lynched, one of the guilty voters against him will commit suicide the next night out of guilt. While the Jester's goal might sound simple, Town players are usually aware of the possibility of a Jester so any player who is acting excessively erratic or who asks to be lynched will likely be branded a Jester and not lynched (because no one wants to die at the hands of a Jester). Therefore, Jesters have to strike a careful balance in terms of arousing some suspicion to get themselves lynched, but avoiding too strong of behavior which might make the Town wary of lynching them. No that Heebs could be Jester, has this been discussed or were you just throwing out a what-if Because the stealing monkeys thing was a weird post?

And you hand them quotes anything to show it as a response so it just looked really random.

don't tell me what to do JHBInteresting. Mafia commonly wait until the very end or when prompted to share their thoughts/post their votes and then come up with a lazy reason for their vote they can dismiss later. How very transparent of you

How very transparent of you seems odd you are reading into a round 1 vote so deeply. Usually you are a better player than that. Its very interesting.

I'm not reading into the vote, just the underlying behavior. That's the point of the game, so if I weren't doing that I'm not sure how I would be a good player.

I agree with JHBs assessment of Canes behavior.
But I'm not sure if I'm ready to switch my vote just yet

BKay JewelersI have another role question. If the escort blocks the person who is the veteran, does that kill the escort or stop the veteran's "alert" if someone else visits the house. I know you said anyone visiting veteran dies, but in the escort role description it says they only don't block godfather, just wanted to clarify.

That is very odd gameplay from you so early in the game. Like I said it doesn't make sense coming from you.

I think Timpig is the jester, but I have no way of knowing the truth of this matter. Why do you think that ? Well, he voted for RW, he liked a post, and he told someone they should admin kill themselves. He has just been a little goofy, which isn't entirely out of his personality, but it struck me as a possibility that he could well be the jester.

It doesn't make sense to go super sleuth right now because all it does is give players like bankz and heebs conspiracy tangents to go on that end up fucking over the town in the long run. It's way out of character for someone who is a good player so it makes you suspicious.

Damn, I was just thinking that people were honing in on my "don't vote me out or the Mafia will have a huge advantage comment." You stated things I completely forgot about. Kudos to you, good sir.

It's way out of character for someone who is a good player so it makes you suspicious. But I've always done this so either I am, by definition, not a good player, or you are just scrambling to cover your tracks and trying to shift culpability back on to me with some non-sense argument against calling out patterns of behavior in the game (which, if you haven't noticed, IS THE GAME). I don't know if you've noticed but in past games, we haven't all just sit around and not pointed fingers in the hopes of not making potentially false accusations and then hope around Day 4 everything just falls into place. You develop a hunch, work it, move to the next one with new evidence. You'll notice I haven't cast a vote in your favor or influenced anyone else, I'm just noting something you did has been a pro-mafia tell in the past. The fact that you didn't just let it slide is pretty questionable.

Having said all that, I will say that this would be the game for us to no vote as townies considering the chance that we have potentially up to 6 people with investigative abilities depending on how the town randoms ended up being assigned.

Didn't realize we got to the number to start. Going to go with No vote for now while I catch up on the thread.
