i guess i would do it if it was the difference in the league happening and not happening
but since it's a dynasty league drafting after game 1 of year 1 is not really a big deal.

I could do it but Fecta's out of town and I doubt we could get everyone.
Odin makes a good point that doing it after week one is no big deal. I think after week one is better than having half the teams auto-drafted where the owners might be pissed and therefore not too into it.

We should definitely do this next year. I came across the idea pretty late for it to be realistic to get us all on board at a time good for everyone.
Also, what about a change for next year where you have two matchups each week, giving you the chance to earn two wins or two losses. Playing your regular matchup, and playing against the weekly average. Also, the goal will be 14 teams so we can do a 13 week regular season with a round robin schedule.

So this was started to late last year, but we should have plenty of time to start this up for the new year. I figure we should maybe start this league up now, just in case some of us here who have expressed interest won't be around for 5.0 or the chance of nothing.0 to Odin: here a box score from the first week of the playoffs in my dynasty league that uses just the 3 IDPs with the scoring I described. I know they don't score as much as offensive players and that bothers you, but its significantly more than regular "team" defense, and we have lots of people that would be in this league that would be new to IDP. The defensive players when having a good game will definitely turn the tide for your team, and you still have to pick them wisely.I would support expanding the IDP starting slots in the future if other GMs were on board.  |
