We're missing some good opportunities in this game if we're sticking to season 1 only. True, but maybe doing it season by season would allow for multiple GOT versions, which i am all for We didn't break down the wire by seasons and it was fun. |

No worries, roles/abilities in the game I made up are only S1 storylines Crown/Baratheon/Stark v Lannisters v Targs If we are sticking with season one and no one tries to be a dick and ruin it on purpose (though I guess you could do this anywhere on the forum) then I'll play. True but GOT has an encyclopedia of characters and a lot houses/factions. Shit you could break season 1 up into 2 or 3 different versions if you go pre and post King Robert |

Very true, but it seems like it's easy in general conversation for people to be able to differentiate between something that happened in season five vs. six, or even episode by episode. I just don't want to risk ruining any more than I already have by being five years late for a game that will be forgotten in a few days. |

this is the setup we are going with, it is season 1 with really no spoilers involved.
6-8 Town - Original Crown (House Baratheon/Stark/Small Council) - Only King Robert, Varys, and Ned are given out for certain, the rest of the roles are random or could simply be vanilla gold cloaks
Varys - Cop (each night his little birds reveal the role of a player and if investigated, Daenerys and Tywin would show up as Gold Cloaks)
Roz - Escort (can spend the night with anyone and block role)
Littlefinger - Traitor (can switch to either mafia house after night 3)
Pycelle - Doctor (can heal any target at night)
King Robert - Mayor (can confirm his citizenship after night 2 and vote counts as 3)
Beric Dondarrion - Vigilante (sent to detain the Mountain but can take one shot at whomever he likes because he does what he wants)
Ned Stark - Sheriff (as an honest man, he can tell where another's allegiances lie - when he investigates at night he is told House Lannister or Targaryen or not suspicious (town, neutral, godfathers)
Ser Barriston Selmy - Veteran (can go on alert at night twice and kill anyone that visits except Drogo/Mountain)
Vanilla Gold Cloaks- no abilities
3 Mafia - House Lannister (selected randomly)
Tywin - Godfather (cannot be detected, immune at night)
Cersei - Framer (can make someone appear to be Lannister aligned)
Jaime - Cleaner (can hide the identity of his teams kills if he is hitman up to twice)
Tyrion - Consigliere (can discover the role of any player)
Joffrey - Mafia consort (can kidnap any player and torture them throughout the night, they wake up the next day having no idea what happened)
The Mountain - Can be sent to be Lannister hitman once and will survive any veteran alert on this night and successfully kill the vet, his attack cannot be blocked by doctor or escort on this night, and he cannot be killed by Vigilante on this night, all other nights he acts as a vanilla mafia member
3 Mafia - House Targaryen/Dothraki Horde
Daenerys Targaryen - Godmother (cannot be detected, immune at night)
Ser Jorah - Mafia doctor (Can protect one member of House Targaryen each night from death - not immune to attacks by Mountain)
Viserys - Vanilla mafia, pussy
Khal Drogo - Targaryen equivalent of the Mountain
Blood Rider - Cleaner (when sent as hitman up to twice, Blood Rider leaves no evidence)
1 Neutral (if 13 or more players)
Jon Snow (Nights Watch) - Survivor (doesn't care about the squabbles of Kings, only seeks to survive, has two bulletproof vests to use at night)

Need more neutral roles imo Walder Frey - kills with knives works like the mass murderer I like that, maybe Melisandre. Her kills are mysterious that leave no clues, same kill message as a cleaner kill. hound could be there, he wins if he kills the mountain |
