JAMES H. BEARD
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Last night, the Seattle Zombie Sonics and Head Coach/GM Weilandman kicked off their preparations for preseason TMBSL competition by holding a fanfest to make some brief franchise announcements and hype up their six fans in attendance for the upcoming TMBSL 3000 season. The three major highlights of the event were the unveiling of the new team logo and nickname, the announcement of a radio show featuring one of the Zombie Sonics key players, and the introduction of a new hype video to be played before home games!
The event began with Seattle Head Coach/GM Weilandman coming out onto the stage to pump up the crowd in his typical flamboyant attire and equally incoherent mumbling. The night began with a performance of the GM's hit song and widely recognized "Greatest Song of the 90s" - INTERSTATE LOVE SONG
GM Weilandman's favorite song!

After finishing his performance, the GM jumped right into what all six of the fans in attendance had really been waiting for, the unveiling of the new logo and team nickname that was mildly anticipated all summer long! In an effort to distinguish themselves from the actual owners of all SuperSonics logos and symbols, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Zombie Sonics rebranded themselves and will use this new logo for the upcoming season! After an underwhelming round of applause for the new logo, GM Weilandman moved on and welcomed Zombie Sonics PF Clifford Ray to the stage! He was there to promote his new radio show, "In The Pivot".
It was leaked on Seattle.com's free message boards earlier in the day that Cliff would be premiering this new radio show. It was assumed that the purpose of the show would be for the experienced vet to give Seattle area youth coaching tips on how to play in the paint, but the show actually has a much more nefarious purpose that I don't quite feel comfortable sharing.

Apparently this is a thing.
Finally, after all of the fans had fled the event in disgust, GM Weilandman took the opportunity to unveil the Zombie Sonics' new hype video. They will kick off each game with this video to introduce the Zombie Sonics' starters. Enjoy!
Other Notes:
GM Weilandman was fined $25,000 by TMBSL for requesting that his organist be allowed to play Dixie every time his team scored.
The GM also insisted on several occasions during the event that Stone Temple Pilots were in fact the best band of the 1990s and Pearl Jam can suck it.
