1. Marques Johnson SF 24 6'7'' 243 B+ C+ C+ A- B+ B

Johnson was the 2nd overall pick the first time around although he did sport much more potential than 1st overall selection Bernard King. Viewed as a riskier pick than King, Johnson has made good on his potential and still has the ability to improve going forward. He scored 23 points per game this year on over 50% shooting and he can play solid defense at either SG or SF. His defense gives him the edge over Walter Davis for [HASH]1.
2. Walter Davis SF 26 6'6'' 193 B+ B+ C B C B
Originally: 1.8 Walter Davis SG 6'6'' 193 23 B- B C- C+ C- B
Davis is a scoring machine. He might be TMBSL's most efficient player. He has shot over 50% from the field in 3 of his 4 seasons. After being given away to the Bullets earlier this season, Walter responded by having his best season yet scoring 19 ppg on 54% shooting. His defense leaves something to be desired, but he can grab a few steals and his scoring ability more than makes up for it.
3. Bernard King SF 24 6'7'' 215 A- B C- B B- B
Originally: 1.1 Bernard King SF 6'7'' 210 21 A- B- C- B B- C
King went [HASH]1 overall and was viewed as the safest pick in the draft. Although he originally sported C potential, he has improved his outside scoring by 1 letter grade and now has B potential. King has been a consistent scorer since his rookie season where an injury cost him the Rookie of the Year award. However, his rookie season was by far his best and he hasn't quite lived up to expectations since that huge rookie campaign. This year he played PF for the Suns and showed some versatility by making the move seamlessly.
4. James Edwards C 23 7'0'' 225 C+ D+ C- A- B+ B
Originally: 1.6 James Edwards C 7'0'' 225 20 C D+ D B- B A
Edwards grades don't look like anything special but his game says otherwise. He pulled in over 11 rebounds per game and blocked 4 shots per game for the 1 seed Bucks. He doesn't have any offensive game to speak of, but that doesn't matter to most teams. He fills his role beautifully and that lands him the [HASH]4 spot in our redraft.
5. Alexis Gardner SF 25 6'8'' 247 C+ A- B A- C- A
Originally: 1.16 Alexis Gardner SF 6'8'' 247 22 C+ C+ C+ B- D+ A
Gardner was a bit of a late bloomer from the 3003 draft. He started with low grades and improved upon them every year. However, he didn't really start to produce efficiently until this season. He played a big role for the Nets this year and was their 3rd leading scorer as the starting SF. He still sports that A potential so if he continues to get better maybe he could move up from [HASH]5.
6. Otis Birdsong SG 25 6'3'' 190 C+ A- C B+ D B
Originally: 1.5 Otis Birdsong PG 6'3'' 190 22 B- C+ C C+ D A
Birdsong has been a decently productive player. His grades are enticing and he has bounced around from team to team in his 4 seasons. It is apparent now that his best position is SG where he is a bit undersized. He can score pretty well and plays solid D, but he is probably best used as a guy off the bench.
7. Ernie Grunfeld SG 24 6'6'' 210 C+ B C- B+ C- A
Originally: 1.17 Ernie Grunfield SG 6'6'' 210 21 C+ C+ C- C+ D+ A
Grunfeld has shown flashes here and there for short periods of time, but he has never put it together over the long haul. He is most famous for being traded to the Suns for Sam Bowie and 3 first round picks. Looks to be a career bench player unless that A potential creates a surprise.
8. Rickey Green PG 24 6'0'' 170 C+ B A- A- D- B
Originally: 1.11 Rickey Green PG 6'0'' 170 21 C+ C+ B- B- D- B
Rickey Green has improved a lot over his starting grades and turned out to be a pretty good selection. He is a good backup PG in this league and should be for a long time. With the depth of the PG position, I doubt he will ever be a starter for a contending team.
9. T.R. Dunn SG 22 6'4'' 221 C+ A- C B+ C B
Originally: 1.14 TR Dunn SG 6'4'' 221 19 C B- C- B- C A
Dunn didn't see a single minute of playing time for the Suns last season, but he still has pretty good grades for a SG in this league. His grades and potential earned him this spot as I am sure he will get an MLE from someone in Free Agency.
10. Tom LaGarde C 24 6'10'' 250 C D+ C A- B+ B
Originally: Tom LaGarde C 6'10" 240 21 C- D D+ B B- A
LaGarde was once thought of pretty highly as a potential rebounding/defense big. He has not developed quite as many had hoped. He has similar grades to James Edwards who was 4th in the redraft, but he doesn't match his production and struggles to block shots. LaGarde's claim to fame is how little he shoots.
11. Tree Rollins C 24 7'1'' 235 C+ D+ C- A- C+ B
Originally: 1.13 Tree Rollins C 7'1'' 235 21 C+ D+ D+ B C A
Tree Rollins entered the league as someone who could play defense but needed to develop offense and rebounding. He still is someone who can play defense without any offense or rebounding. Rollins blocked 3.0 shots per game for the Nets as a backup big this year, but his lack of scoring or rebounding ability has relegated him to a career backup role.
12. Kenny Carr PF 25 6'7'' 220 B D+ D+ B+ B+ C
Originally: 1.22 Kenny Carr PF 6'7'' 220 22 C+ D+ C- C+ B- B
Carr has some pretty good all around grades, but the production isn't quite on the level of the guys above him. He hovers around 40% shooting and doesn't do any one thing well enough to force his teams to put him on the court. However, in this draft, just having these grades earns him the 12 spot.
13. Jackson Cardinal PG 23 6'3'' 191 C C+ A A- C- B
Originally: 1.18 Jackson Cardinal PG 6'3'' 191 20 C C C+ B- C- A
Cardinal is a decent backup PG and still has B potential to get a little better. It was a very close cal between him and Ray Williams and Eddie Johnson. None are that good. I'm not writing about the rest of the guys because they didn't make the lotto.
