Great deal for bankz.
Got two firsts + cap space (including Sander's deal, woof) for unwanted assets.
But I also see how this works for soup, at least in the short-term.

Like I said, bankz gave up nothing and got two picks + a chance in FA, and I get why you want Donovan. He is a good player this year and hopefully you can resign him.

Is this a legal deal? Dump and Druce seem to think soup has a cap hold and doesn't have cap space to make this work.

Does a sim have to go by for Soup to accept those resignings?
Rule isn't clear.

Then my original point stands that there should be cap holds in place for guys who have offered to resign and haven't been accepted or declined officially

Where has it been previously done where someone used cap to make a trade, then accepted a resign? Just curious

This isn't 2.0. And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch I don't care if this trade goes through blah blah whatever, I just think moving forward there should be cap holds.

I'm not sure I like cap holds because it's tough enough to make moves with a hard cap. Putting cap holds only limits it even further.

If you want to retain bird rights and go over the cap there have to be cap holds. It's the same way irl. Otherwise it's a soft cap loop hole.

Yeah, we have never had cap holds so this has always occurred.
I would be for cap holds as they obviously make sense, but we have never messed with them.

those picks fucking suck and bankz loses two starters for a 1% chance at upgrading in FA eh No 1st rounder is worthless. Not when Odin is making prospects. Sanders wasn't a starter last year and wasn't in my long term plans. He has almost zero market value. Donovan is really good. But I'm not going to keep him long term with Russell on the roster. So i move one legit asset who I have the replacement in house for two first round picks and the desposal of a bad deal. The perk is I get a golden ticket.

The humorous part to me is soup spent two days hyping the value of Donovan to me and wound up convincing only himself. Well done, Bankz.
