Gentleman it is back. The anonymous player haters ball has returned with 3 new anonymous participants and myself. As always, the answers are completely anonymous and the answers are posted in random order to make it more difficult to figure out who said what. There is a slight twist this time around. Each participant was randomly assigned a division and instructed to throw some shade at each GM in it.
1. Odin has retired as commish. What are your honest thoughts about how he did as commish? What do you think about him leaving shortly after receiving a laptop? thoughts on his early morning sims? etc...
I thought he did pretty well all things considered. He was a bit distant a lot as I thought we had a pretty good relationship going in but he kind of flaked out and really only talked to a select few people. Pm'd him a couple of times on issues that never got responded too, so it's all whatever . I had no problem with the laptop deal. And don't see that it's a big deal. The gift should be for what he's done in the past and not something that should be held over his head to continue on doing something he clearly didn't want too. I Liked the odd ball sims as I work odd ball hours sometimes. But structure is nice.
Odin’s run as a commish went very well and honestly went longer than I think anyone expected. He made it through two creation drafts for Christ’s sake. He implemented a lot of new things that have been great for the league and overall was a commish for the people. As a contributor to the fund for his laptop, that was more of an appreciation gift for what all he had done, not for what he was going to continue to do. I think the laptop made him feel obligated to keep going several more seasons then he actually wanted to. I would have preferred more consistent daytime sims, but in the end if that’s our biggest complaint about the big fella than I think he did just fine.
I think Odin did a great job as commish. Sure inconsistent sim times and sims at 5:00am aren't for everyone but overall he kept things moving, implemented a bunch of good changes, and did a fantastic job all things considered. As for quitting after receiving a laptop, he still ran things for 2+ months after receiving it and he never asked for anyone to send him anything. That's a non-issue in my book.

Dump is the ultimate bitch. He told everyone he was selling out to win a title with Kidd. He wins a title, which was what he was trying to do, now he is surprised his team, which he admittedly sold out, isn't performing well. Good thing he works with animals, because he completely lacks social skills.
Death, taxes, and dump meltdowns, the only 3 things certain in life. His immediate year after the title was almost unbearable. Cocky Dump spewed his diarrhea commentary all over shout and the board for a full month. It was great to watch it all come crashing down and leaving emo dump behind to collect all the tears.
People should be used to this by now. Dump is dump. I like the guy he's fun to interact with most the time. He's good in our TMBSL league . If you can't tune him out , you should never have children
Nothing has changed really. He still goes through his dump cycles and loves saying and doing things for attention. Cocky dump makes more appearances now, but overall it's the same old same old. Dump is pretty good dude outside of his sporadic and at times frustrating internet persona but truth be told I'd enjoy meeting him someday. Maybe have a couple brewskis and watch some football. 3. After giving Canes a ton of shit for going MIA while his team fell apart, 2poor has done the exact same thing with the Jazz. Thoughts?
The Jazz had two titles, and very easily could have a third one. He had the first dynasty in TMBSL, so I wouldn’t exactly but Canes in “exact” category as 2poor. Nice try though Canes.
I'm sure 2poor is a nice guy in real life and I probably would not fight him in real life unlike devine but him being absent has not been good for his team or the league. There’s tons of GMs I wouldn’t ever want to be commish, but that has more to do with I don’t think they would ever have the proper time to do so. Several GMs in the past have expressed interest in commishing the league but it’s hard to take those self-nominations serious with the lack of time they invest in the league as it stand. I won’t even comment on the 2nd part because I don’t think anyone would purposely try to destroy this league by being corrupt. It would be a waste of time for any commish putting in that amount of time and effort.

If I wasn't (unfortunately) a straight guy I'd love to go to Omaha, head to Hy-Vee and pick up a dozen petunias and a baloon, drive to his house, pick him up, and take him out for a nice lunch date at Quaker Steak & Lube. After lunch we could maybe hit up Bass Pro Shop or possibly make our way to Council Bluffs and visit the Cracker Barrel for some checkers before the staff inevitably kicks us out for loitering. We'd finish off the night playing putt-putt golf and enjoying a G-rated movie at one of the local theaters before I'd drive him home, wait quietly on the couch while he changed into his footy pajamas, and tuck him into his bed before silently tip-toeing out of the room and leaving his house. The next day around 2:30pm I would send him a text to let him know that I had a great time and inquire on how his day was going.
I got most of it off of my chest. Most of the GMs in TMBSL are pretty cool. Odin did a good job of culling some of the shitheads like devine and harryg.
Canes, you aren’t the only one, but learn how to bid on some fucking players. Low balling them in free agency is not the way to get them, and it will never work.
