After considering all possibilities and the consequences of each possibility, I've decided the best approach is allowing access to only three drafts worth of picks at a time. So currently, you can trade creations draft, 3000, and 3001 picks. When the creation draft is over, you'll then have access to the 3002 picks. After the 3000 draft you'll have access to 3003. And so on.
Furthermore, contracts will cease to exist. There are too many variables in play to make rules as concrete as "41 wins or playoffs in 5 years". Firings will be used at my discretion and in only the most obvious of situations.

Not a huge fan of only being able to trade two futures. That makes it much harder to trade (which might be your goal idk). I think if we're trying to limit crazy trades but still leave room for bigger trades then three futures would be better.

You can trade 3 futures. After the creation draft, you will have 3000, 3001, and 3002. The creation draft counts as one of the futures for you.

When you take that aspect away I wont have much to keep me. Might as well get someone in that wants to be a part of this league vs me being half ass involved. |

I didn't say you couldn't... its limited and I don't like it. This is becoming a big deal for no reason. I didn't want to start a uproar. I wasn't around for any of the conversations. So if the majority of the league wants 3 year window and random draft classes its fine. Ill move on before the draft starts so someone who wants to be a part can do so... <3 you all........... well not dump |

1. A good gm can build a team regardless of how many futures he can trade.
2. I don't give a fuck about how many futures can be traded after the creation draft. You guys can figure out how many. Let me know when you decide.

But seriously regardless of what the number ends up being, every trade that involves a pick or player from an older deal will get vetoed. No more "he owed me a pick from a deal eight years ago." |

3 drafts should be good, and if a pick is protected the potential replacement pick shouldn't be able to be traded IMO. So if I trade my pick 3002 protected, and my 3003 is the replacement, that should be fine right? Cuz the 3003 wouldn't actually move until the 3002 draft, but I wouldn't be able to move the 3003 pick until it's no longer tied up in a stipulation. Does that make sense?

yeah 5 years works for me. I wish we did the same thing the NBA does with the back to back years. I have no reason why I like it and won't argue for it.
