5-4 sim, blew 4th quarter leads at home vs the Sonics and Suns to keep it from being a nice 7-2 sim. Just glad that I'll finally be healthy again next sim.

i don't get a lot of chances to gloat so excuse me for this but remember after our 0-5 sim 1 when i said in shout that we had a 6-4 run coming? New York Knicks 6 9 .400 6-4 4-3 6.5;D Though I'm a little confused why the CPU isn't playing Grannis given that Action Jackson is out with a collarbone and she's my only other PG. Quoting from the excellent "read this new guys" article by Buster 5000 "Remember, we DO NOT want Scalabrine going in to center. But our coach, who only knows the top-3 players at each position and their position, looks to the bench and sees this..." so what's the deal? |

Okay so Souper Troopers kindly uploaded the pbp and the coach does a lot more interesting things than the article suggests: My DC has Jackson / Swift / Swift at PG. Jackson is injured. On my active roster I have Grannis (PG C+ handles), Langhi (SG B-), Farley (SG C+), Malone (SG C), George (SF C). Swift starts, 2:50 left in the first quarter goes to the bench. Langhi (starting SG who exited at 6:55) enters the game at PG. :22 left Swift replaces Langhi at PG. Swift plays the whole second quarter at PG. 10:19 left in the third quarter, without getting in any foul trouble, Swift goes to the bench. George (starting SF) moves to PG!!! And Langhi is already on the court!!! 7:52 Swift comes back in and they go back to normal positions. Fourth quarter starts with George / Langhi / Farley at 1/2/3. Langhi picks up a foul pressing Conley and the coach does 3 subs, resulting in Langhi / Malone / George. 10:12 Swift in Langhi out. 8:52 Langhi in Swift out. Some other unremarkable stuff happens, then... 2:04 we go from Swift / Langhi / Farley to Patterson(!!!) / Langhi / George. Patterson is a PF! With C handles! Langhi fouls out, Malone comes in. Patterson remains at PG! . So to sum up: The coach definitely DOES NOT rely on positions. He would rather play a particular PF at PG than a particular PG with better handles. The coach definitely DOES NOT rely on grades. The best handles on the team is Langhi who routinely was not playing PG when he was out there and Swift wasn't. The coach definitely DOES NOT have a firm plan. He would rather play a particular PF over the SF and SG he had played at PG earlier in the game for no apparent reason. Pretty crazy stuff! |
