Rankings are based on a combination of performance this year and how good I think they will be going forward.
TOP 25 UNDER 25
25. Chet Noe
22 Years Old
C+ C C A- A- A
This season Noe is averaging 11.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks a game for one of the best defensive frontcourts in the league. He shoots too much for my liking but he is not as bad as his grades would suggest. Noe is shooting 43% from the field and 79.7% from the free throw line. For Heebs' sake I hope he doesn't +1 inside and turn into another Kevin Willis who feels the need to shoot 20 times a game. Noe has +10 left, I expect his blocks and rebounding numbers to go up once he goes through those last 2 SCs.
24. Art Spoelstra
23 Years Old
B+ C- D+ B A C
Spoelstra looks to be a nice big man prospect averaging 20.6 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks this season. His field percentage has been disappointing though, Spoelsta is shooting just 41.7% even though he is playing next to Blake Griffin. He still has +13 so those shooting percentages should improve by next season. If he can improve his field goal percentage he should be one of the better big men in the league by the last year of his rookie deal.
23. James Harden
20 Years Old
B B C+ C+ C- A
Still not sure what to make of Harden so far. He is shooting well from the field at 47.3% but only 25% from beyond the arc. His numbers are decent, Harden is averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals but would like to see him put up more points while playing for a rebuilding team. He still hasn't gone through an SC or RC so there is still a lot of hope.
22. Jahlil Okafor
23 Years Old
A- C- C- A A C
Now in his fifth season Okafor kind of is what he is which is a very solid overall big man. This season Okafor is averaging 18.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.2 blocks while shooting 45.6%. Okafor has +10 left so after a duplicate SC is put into his jump shot that field goal percentage and his shot attempts should increase.
21. Tex Silverman
22 Years Old
A- C- C- A- A- B
Silverman has great grades in only his second season and is putting up solid numbers as the fourth option on a loaded Hornets squad. This season he is averaging 15.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks while shooting 46.8%. He still has +13 left and a lot of room to grow.
20. Scoonie Murray
24 Years Old
C+ B- A+ A C- A
Murray appears to be the new Foots Walker with his efficiency and those scoring grades. Murray is shooting 47.9% from the field, 94.3% from the free throw line and 43.8% beyond the arc. He is averaging 14.4 points, 6.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2 steals while only playing 28 minutes per game. Murray has +18 left.
19. Stromile Swift
24 Years Old
B+ D+ D+ A- A- B
I think Swift being on the list would surprise a lot of people but he is having a very good season for the best team in the east. Swift is averaging 16.5 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.7 blocks while shooting 45.7% from the field and 64.5% from the free throw line. Those shooting percentages are surprising with that outside grade and that he has had 0 points put into his offense. Swift has +14 left and will be a candidate for a max contract this offseason.
18. Michael Redd
24 Years Old
B- A- C+ A- C+ A
Redd has quietly turned into one of the better shooting guards in the league this year after a disappointing third season. Redd is averaging 21.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 46.2% overall. Would like to see that three point percentage raise from 34.9% though and it will have to happen through TCs since all of Redd's upgrades have been used. Redd will be one of the few max contract candidates from the 3014 class this offseason.
17. Dutch Burch
23 Years Old
B- A- B B- C- A
Dutch is having a very good sophomore season and looks to be one of the most promising young PGs in the league. For the season he is averaging 21.3 points on 48.2% shooting while adding 4 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.6 steals. He'll have to raise that defensive grade to become elite and that could easily happen since has that A potential and has +8 left.
16. Frank Selvy
23 Years Old
B+ B+ C B+ C B
I think most people would consider Selvy disappointing since Canes could have gotten Oscar Robertson for him. I still think he'll be really good with those grades. This season Selvy is averaging 17.6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.9 steals. His shooting percentages are solid at 46.1% overall, 84.4% from the free throw line and 38.2% from beyond the arc. Selvy only has one SC left.
15. Chris Mihm
22 Years Old
A- C- C- A- A- C
Mihm is one of the most efficient centers in the league and should be a lock to get a max contract this offseason. Mihm is shooting 48.2% from the field and 77.9% from the line while averaging 22.2 points and 11.2 rebounds. He only blocks .6 shots per game but makes up for it by averaging 1.9 steals. Mihm looks like a finished product but still has one SC left.
14. Shawn Kemp
22 Years Old
A C D+ B+ B+ B
Kemp looked like a bust coming into this season but he has really turned it on in year three. Kemp is putting up 27.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks this season. He has raised his shooting percentage to 45.5%, up from 41% last season. Kemp has had +11 put into his jumper but he still has +13 left overall. I think he'll be one of the best big men in the league by next season.
13. Glen Rice
24 Years Old
B A- C- B- C+ B
I think Rice is the best young small forward in the league. This season he's averaging 25.1 points on 47.3% overall and 41.6% from beyond the arc. I'm not a fan of the B- defensive grade and that he doesn't get any blocks or steals. He is only averaging .8 steals and .1 blocks a game. Looks like he'll always be a great scorer but a liability on defense. Rice still has +6 left,
12. Blake Griffin
20 Years Old
A+ C- C- B- A A
Blake is putting up huge numbers for the tanking Jazz this season. He's averaging 29.4 points on 45.1% while adding 11.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Like Rice I'd have him higher on the list if he had a better defensive grade or added some blocks and steals. He is only averaging .8 steals and .4 blocks a game. Blake still has +18 left to be put into his jumper and defense.
11. Jermaine O’Neal
23 Years Old
A- C- C A- A B
After a huge TC O'Neal has become one of the best big men in the league and looks to be the front runner for defensive player of the year. This season O'Neal is averaging 20.3 points, 13.8 rebounds and 4.4 blocks. He has raised his field goal percentage to 49%, up from 42% last season. His numbers are great so not sure if he has that much room to improve and all of his upgrades have been used.
10. Bob Pettit
23 Years Old
A- C C A- A- A
Pettit has put up huge numbers so far in his first two seasons. This year he is averaging 27.8 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while shooting 46.4%. I probably should have him higher but think his huge scoring numbers are due to playing for a tanking team. Not sure how much Pettit can really improve but he still has +8 left.
9. Stephen Curry
21 Years Old
C+ A B B D+ A
Curry has been very good this season but I think most expected a little more from him. He's averaging 24 points on 48.6% shooting overall and 43% from beyond the arc but just 6.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.8 rebounds. Those low assists numbers are concerning but Curry still has +16 left to improve his passing and defense. If he doesn't improve his passing he could still end up being a great shooting guard.
8. George McCloud
24 Years Old
B- B C A- C B
I am a huge fan of sim McCloud and think he's one of the best shooting guards in the league. His scoring grades may not be impressive but McCloud is extremely efficient. This season McCloud is averaging 20.9 points on an extremely efficient 46.7% overall and 45.5% from beyond the arc. He also adds 5.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.2 steals and only 1 turnover. McCloud has one RC left. McCloud should be the prize free agent next offseason.
7. DeJuan Blair
20 Years Old
B+ C D A A- B
I have Blair as the second best young big man in the league and think he is already one of the best in the league. He's got great grades and is putting up impressive numbers. This season he's averaging 25.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks while shooting an efficient 47.3% overall and 84.3% from the free throw line. Blair still +13 left to improve his defense and rebounding. With O'Neal and Blair Trofie should have the best frontcourt in the league for as long as he feels like keeping them together.
6. Andrew Harrison
24 Years Old
C A B+ B+ C C
I've got the other Harrison at six due to his extremely impressive and efficient season. Harrison is averaging 22.4 points on 49% shooting overall, 95.9% from the free throw line and 44.7% from beyond the arc. He's also giving the Hornets 5.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.1 steals. I know he has kind of bounced back and forth between shooting guard and point guard but I think point guard is his best position even though he's averaging 2.7 turnovers. Harrison still +3 left to improve his handles.
5. Stanley Johnson
23 Years Old
A- B C A- C+ A
Johnson is having a great season after getting a bird max this offseason. He is averaging 22.2 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.2 steals while shooting 48.2% overall. Somehow he has raised his three point shooting from 28.8% to 46.2%. It pains me to admit this but he is much better than Al Horford. Johnson does not have any upgrades left.
4. Myles Turner
23 Years Old
B+ B+ C- A- A- B
Turner is the best big man in the league and has just ridiculous grades. This year he is having an MVP type season averaging 33.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 4 blocks. Wish Turner was a little more efficient but his three point field goal percentage being at 43% makes up for his overall percentage only being at 44.4%. Turner has had all of his upgrades used.
3. Aaron Harrison
24 Years Old
C+ A B- A- C A
Harrison has already won a championship while being one of the best players on the team. This season he is doing his best to ruin the Thunder's attempt to tank. Harrison is averaging 30.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.1 steals. He is shooting an efficient 48.1% overall and 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. Harrison still has +5 left to improve his gaudy stats and grades.
2. Kristaps Porzingis
24 Years Old
B A- C B+ C+ C
I have Porzingis over Harrison due to him putting up big numbers for a team that isn't tanking and he is coming off a season where he was the best player on a championship team. Unlike the rest of the Raptors there has been no hangover for Porzingis this season. He is averaging 28.9 points on 49.2% overall shooting and 42.9% from beyond the arc while adding 8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals. Porzingis does not have any upgrades left.
1. Stephon Marbury
24 Years Old
B B+ A- A- C- B
Marbury is already arguably second best point guard in the league. Marbury looks like a lock to finsih in the top three for MVP voting this season. He is averaging 31.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 10.5 assists while leading the Kings to the second best record in the league. Marbury will have the Kings as one of the best teams in the league for as long as he is in Kansas City.
TOP 25 UNDER 25
25. Chet Noe

This season Noe is averaging 11.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks a game for one of the best defensive frontcourts in the league.
