In about a few days ago I was telling yall about this "Nextdoor" website that you sign up for that groups you into your neighborhood that works as a message board for all kinds of things like garage sales, lost pets, general information. Well folks in the community have taken it as an opportunity to bitch about anything and everything. A bunch of real . From time to time I'll post a few of the posts here.

"Walking our entire subdivision today for some exercise it was really hard not to notice how many sidewalks are blocked to through traffic. They have everything from vetches to the movable basketball goals. In my eyes this is very unsafe for walkers & bicyclists because it forces them out into the roads. Hope there's away we can fix this."

Posted back to back. Different sides of the story.
"I'm not sure who drives a white truck that just cussed at our kids playing basketball but if you have an issue you can come speak to me about it! You have no right to cuss at kids! TIA!"
"Dear disrespectful kids playing basketball on Stonegate, I hope you learn soon enough before you flip off the wrong person as they drive by. When you finally grow up you may learn that to the wrong person it could prove very much a bad idea. Thankfully we live in a 'nice' neighborhood. Let's try and keep it that way shall we !"

More from thread:
"I am the one that stopped and the kids popped off at me so I backed up! These kids didn't even stop playing and I had to come to a complete stop because of it and as I passed by they mouthed off!! Never would I ever cuss a kid but if you would like me to come and talk to you I can do that as well because this isn't the first time these kids wouldn't hold the ball for a vehicle going by! I am sorry I don't want to run your or anyone else's kid over because they chase a ball that gets out of their hand!! I teach mine to hold it until the car passes."

Because kids never lie:
"The story I got from my son who is 10 is that they were playing, you were coming up and they moved to the side, once you passed, my son shot the ball from apparently a good shot and the boys that were out there said whoa nice shot, you then reversed and said what did you say and one of the other younger boys said nothing we said nice shot and that's when you said something about talking to the parents. I have preached over and over to my 2 sons about the traffic on this street because we moved from a cul-de-sac with no traffic. My youngest son has blonde hair with it spiked in the middle and my oldest, who wasn't down there has the same haircut but is about 5'8, if anyone ever has an issue with them please do not hesitate to speak to my husband or myself.. We are outside all the time! My boys best not be disrespectful and better move and hold the ball when a vehicle is approaching! I'm not one of those parents that doesn't get onto my boys, we try our best to teach manners and right from wrong."

On my nextdoor app neighborhood, some cunt wanted to rename Stonewall Jackson Elementary and Robert E Lee Elementary School because they fought for the Confederacy.

"The Alvarado Police Department has setup an account on Nextdoor.com. We are hoping that this provides us with one more tool we can use in order to communicate with the community we serve. This is a new endeavor for our department so we will be learning as we go. We appreciate your patience as we learn this new program and see what all it has to offer."
"good, Maybe you can do something about your officers sitting in the middle of the road at the end of our street. They block the view so it's almost impossible to safely pull out onto cummins. Especially at school times. Which is the main time they are sitting there"

"I do not have a dog. However, I do understand that this is a small community. We are very close to our neighbors, some of which have dogs that are important to them and that makes the animals a part of our community too. I would never call the police for a barking dog because I understand that dogs bark, it is their nature. If it becomes bothersome I turn on the vent or a loud fan; Or I just dream of the day I can buy a few acres and live in wide open spaces, but then, of course there will be coyotes. There is no such thing as absolute silence in a community this size or anywhere for that matter. I'm just grateful that we don't have to listen to loud, inappropriate music from people blaring their car stereos all hours of the night.
This site is a useful and fun tool when used properly. Please refrain from turning it into a gripe session. If anyone has an issue with something going on in my yard or on my property please come and discuss it with me directly so we can find a solution. Let's not air our dirty laundry for all the neighbors to see. Please!!!!
Thanks."

She was at her mailbox everyday I get home from work. I finally gave in, deleted the app after a couple of weeks but I still get email updates of postings. They make me laugh with all the drama bullshit they post and I was sharing them with the board. You live your life on a message board so I figured this would be right up your ally.

How do I join your community, soup? I've played a lot of culdesac basketball and wish to defend the merits of not moving for a car.

"So last night about 11pm someone knocked on our window on the BACK porch!! By the time my husband got up and out there they were already gone. I don't know if it's kids or what but that's the kind if stuff that will get you seriously hurt. **Parents please remind your kids as summer break is coming that they need not be in others yards uninvited and please know where they are at all times. I know there was a problem last year and I don't want to see someone hurt over making a bad choice trying to be funny."

Topic was a cop finding someone that left like 2 Gucci bags, 2 Iphones, and an Ipad in their car, which was parked illegally

Pretty good point about the parking tickets being essentially a waste of everyones time. As someone who got countless parking tickets in college, I completely agree.

I have two CAUTION KIDS AT PLAY signs to slow people down because most of the kids in the street are playing. People are running them over and two girls on a pink/purple moped/scooter kicked it over. Could you please be careful and respectful of others property. ESPECIALLY BE CAREFUL, watch out for kids!

This was posted after the same chick posted a description, manifesto, and mission statement about our group lol.
"Dear neighbors, I founded our Stonegate Manor Nextdoor page in February 2013 in hopes of an easier way to communicate with our neighborhood. I'm proud that we have increased the members in our Nextdoor community 10 fold, and I truly believe that when used effectively, Nextdoor has the power to bring us all together, promote safety, and help make our community a great place. I am, as many of you are, concerned that all of that effectiveness could be lost when conversations lose their civility. Stonegate Manor Nextdoor can't work if people become turned off to the site because of residents hurling insults at one another from behind a keyboard. We have had positive members that deactivated their accounts for just that reason. I'm hesitant to delete any post or reply on the site. Only after a post is flagged by one of you do I even consider it. Even then, I try not to broadly delete something unless it's a threat or endangers someone. I don't prefer covering up bad behavior. I would rather that we all just think twice before posting things we may not be proud of when cooler heads prevail. I'm personally asking each and every one of you to strongly consider that which you post on the site. You're talking to your direct neighbors. We're all in this boat together. I would like for us all to find a way to get along, and if you can't then at least we could live in peace without talking to each other. Every user has the ability to "mute" another user. If someone really gets under your skin on Nextdoor, don't start a battle. Just turn the other cheek and turn them off from your newsfeed. If you don’t have positive feedback to resolve a situation- please refrain from making comments that will fuel an argument. We can all agree to disagree without directly attacking someone because you don’t see eye to eye. Please make use of the private message feature if you have a personal issue/concern with a neighbor. I hate to have to post this reminder as we are all adults making sure we are all safe in our neighborhood. I feel sometimes the discussions go on a tangent and they are not helpful to the community. It turns into a personal rant and this is not the forum for that behavior. Please be respectful and refrain from offensive posts as this site is intended to be useful ( and has been most of the time) to the entire community of Stonegate, Indian Trails and Lakeview Estates. Thank you all for being a part of the site and making it a great way to communicate. Steff Peterson Stonegate Manor NextDoor Lead"

Got a basketball hoop nazi in my parents neighborhood. He would bitch nonstop to the HOA about our hoop even though it could barely be seen from the street because we had an "r" shaped driveway and did a good job of obstructing the view from the street.

"Just wanted to let everyone know that someone broke into my tahoe last night and stole some DVDS players and some perfume. I don't know if there is anything else missing. I am not going to file a police report because I leave it unlocked at night. Keep your eye out and lock your doors!!! I live on Stonewood."
uhhhh....what a dumb bitch.
