are u in buying mode yet?
Ian: Dan Issel and Elvin Hayes could be had
Buster: Want to try and tank another year but I'll you know if that changes.
Ian: want to buy Hayes?
Buster: Price?
Ian: 4 firsts
Buster: Not sure I'm ready to give that much up. Might be after another sim or 2 if you still got him.
Ian: I'm not moving him until day 99, will field offers until then
that 34 13 3.4 1st sim is still with me running very slow pace and not even inside focus
he's worth 4 1sts
Buster: Probably, but I'm in no hurry to buy. That's also after only 1 sim. Team is young and could use another year or 2 before I'm ready to try and contend for a title. Need to see what I have in Hill and some of the other guys first.
Ian: understandable, but you know as well as I do that this draft sucks, not to mention you probably won't get that high of a pick this year anyway. Next year you're unlikely to be able to get that good of a pick either with so many teams tanking.
Hayes might be your best shot at instantly adding a finals mvp type player to your team.
Buster: That's a good sales pitch, I'll give you that. I'm gonna let a few sims play out and see how my team looks and go from there. If someone is available for a good price I'll probably jump on it, but for now I'm in no hurry to hand out 1sts.
Ian: fwiw soup is closing in on an offer for Hayes that includes Eaton and 2 down the road Pacers picks.
lmk if u still interested

Ank is doing a great job of not supplying any context with some of these.

I can't wrap my head around not taking pick(s) or player(s) for someone you are cutting anyways. Only logical reason would be if he didn't want to help another top team, or a team whose pick he owned.

Bill Walton looked Eric in the eye and told him he would retire after the season only to go back on his word. They had a handshake agreement. After that Eric was done associating with Bill.
