Strengths:
Extremely talented small forward that possesses tremendous height, length and a solid frame for his position. Thomas already displays a very consistent outside shooting stroke. He’s a good shooter off the dribble from mid-range and at the free throw line. Shot a decent percentage as a three-point shooter, he should be able to extend his range past the three-point line at the next level. Thomas has only average leaping ability, but can play above the rim due to his size and length. Defensively, he’s a smart player with good timing and a nice feel for the game, averaged 1 block and almost 2 steals during his one season at Villanova.
Weaknesses:
Thomas falls in love too much with his jumper for a guy that is 6’10. He’s a better mid-range scorer than finisher right now. He sometimes struggles to finish through contact. On defense, he doesn’t always get in a good stance, lateral quickness can be an issue when guarding smaller players on the wing. Only a fairly average rebounder for a player of his size.
