Players who have already been selected will be colored red. They are listed in no particular order.
3052 Summit ResultsJohn Stockston 22 PG 6'1" 170 Gonzaga
C C B- A D+ B
A defense first point guard, Stockston will get you a ton of steals and blocks. Contact eric and billy to get the math for that. Scouts are absolutely in love with John's defense, but the rest of his game leaves a lot to be desired. Opinions vary on whether or not he could succeed as a starting PG for a championship level team.Bradley Bleal 19 SG 6'5" 207 Florida
C+ C C- A C B
Real Deal Bleal, as he is known by his peers, is a defensive stalwart. He specializes in scooping up steals and swatting opponent's shots. He won't give you much else when he is on the floor, but he is as good as it gets when it comes to defense.Antonio Gates 24 PF 6'5" 255 Kent State
B- B- B- B- B- C
Gates has been playing basketball for quite some time and it shows. He is well rounded entering the league and doesn't have any significant weaknesses. His strengths are his physical strength and jumping ability, his three point shot, his quick hands that allow him to deflect passes for steals, and his rebounding fundamentals. Scouts agree that he could develop into a shot blocker, but it's going to take some time.Randall Cunningham 21 G 6'4" 215 UNLV
B- B- B- C C- B
An electric combo guard who is surely going to be kept at PG. Mr. Do-Everything on offense, he can play in any variety of offenses and contribute. Lacks the strength to excel on defense, but is tall enough that he can rebound decently well for a guard. Has the potential to develop an outstanding 3pt shot. Needs to watch out for TOs early in his career.
Jonathan Ogden 22 C 6'9" 350 UCLA
B+ D+ D+ B A- C
Jonathan is a mammoth specimen. Don't be fooled by his enormous size and elite strength, he's got some finesse to his inside game and could be an excellent two-way big. He is an excellent rebounder and post defender that will block shots. His biggest drawback is that scouts don't know how much potential there is for future growth. Antwaan Randle El 23 SG 6'2" 200 Indiana
C+ B- C B- C B
A 3-sport all american in HS - Randle El could have gone pro in baseball, football, or basketball. Lightening quick and an elite jumper, he is devastating in transition. He is not very strong, which limits his inside game, but he makes up for it with feathery touch on his jump shot. Defensively he could be an elite defender if he works on his perimeter defense fundamentals.
Jim Thorpe 22 SG 6'2" 210 Carlisle
B C+ C B C+ A
One of the greatest athletes in the world, Thorpe's elite quickness, strength, and jumping ability are the stuff of legends. He is an all-around player that can do anything you ask him to do. He is a better jump shooter than 3-point shooter, and can defend anyone on the court. A near lock to earn multiple gold medals in the Olympics, it remains to be seen whether Jim's non-TMBSL ambitions will interfere with his basketball schedule.Rob Gronkowski 23 PF/C 6'7" 265 Arizona
B C+ C B- B- B
Strong as an ox, Gronk is primed to be an excellent two-way big in sim league. He has a terrific midrange game and can step back behind the line. Defensively he's not quick enough to get any steals and is merely an average shot blocker. He is an excellent offensive rebounder that uses his strength to get put back buckets. Scouts are excited about his potential to capitalize on his physical strength.Richard Sherman 21 SG 6'3" 205 Stanford
C C+ C- B+ C A
Sherman is a defensive stopper that will single-handedly shut down any player he guards. He does his best work as a perimeter defender, but has the lateral quickness to stop drives and the strength to defend the post as well. He also puts up decent defensive production stats. Offensively, he isn't very polished. He has the fundamentals down and was a capable offensive player in college, but except some struggles at this level. He will need to really work on his inside game and 3 point shot to be a capable player. The good news is scouts believe he has the potential to make strides offensively. Tommie Frazier 20 PG 6'2" 205 Nebraska
B C+ C+ C C- A
A consummate field general, Tommie runs an offense to perfection - which means he's almost always in control of the basketball. His decision making is impeccable and he almost never turns the ball over. He is very quick and stronger than the average point guard. His inside game is outstanding and he's a much better jump shooter than 3 point shooter. While he's an offensive juggernaut, his defense will require some work. He has got the intangibles to be a superstar in TMBSL. Rico Gathers 24 PF/C 6'8" 280 Baylor
B+ D+ D- B B+ C
Strong and a terrific jumper, Rico is a beast inside. He showed improvement on his jump shot, but he is very inconsistent from the line. He rarely turns the ball over because when he gets the ball, he dunks it. No shows no signs of learning how to pass out of the post. Defensively he is a below average shot blocker, but a deflection artist. During his four years at Baylor he was a double-double machine and he should continue that trend throughout his TMBSL career. As far as prospects go, Rico has a low ceiling but should be able to start immediately for a playoff contender. Randy Moss 22 SG 6'5" 215 Notre Dame
B B- C- B- C+ A
In our alternate reality, Randy was admitted to Notre Dame and was a two-sport star. He will most likely be the first pick in the draft for good reason. Athletically he is elite. Expect him to win a dunk contest or two. His inside game is very good, but not excellent. His jumper and three point shot are both adequate but neither is perfect. He has excellent hands and rarely turns the ball over (he also is not a big fan of passing). Defensively he can do it all and regularly stuffs the stat sheet. His athletic skills and aggressive play style makes him an excellent offensive rebounder. Scouts believe he has the potential to continue to improve on his already excellent skill set.
Ed Jones 20 C 6'11" 280 Tennessee State
C C D+ B B A
The defensive/rebounding big to end all defensive/rebounding big, there is a legitimate argument that Jones should be the first pick in the draft. He may lead the league in blocks his rookie year and average a steal and a half. He is an elite rebounder that will come in averaging 12 rebounds or more. The big risk with Jones, however, is his outrageous potential. An unlucky GM might see his inside game become just competent enough to make his less valuable if you can believe it. Tony Gonzalez 21 PF 6'7" 240 California
B B C C+ B B
College forward that looks destined to play SF in TMBSL. Athletically elite player that is stronger, quicker, and a better leaper than veteran forwards in sim league. He's above average inside, from mid range, and 3s, but not elite at any one offensive ability (other than his strength). He is not a selfish player, but has always been his team's most advanced offensive player and knows it. Defensively he has great fundamentals, but doesn't take chances on blocks or steals. He is an outstanding offensive rebounder that feasts on easy put backs. Barry Sanders 20 G 5'8" 220 Oklahoma State
A- C C C+ C- A
Barry is a freak. He is incredibly strong, quick, and can jump out of the gym. His quickness and agility allow him to get into the lane and finish over much taller players is legendary. He doesn't shy away from contact either, which leads to plenty of FT attempts. And sending him to the line may be the gameplan against Sanders in the league as he struggles to shoot 60 percent from the line. He is an adequate ball handler that will never be a double-digit assist player if he is used as a point guard. Defensively he is an aggressive player that will get a couple of steals a game. If a GM can afford to pump duplicate jumper SC/RCs into Barry, he could become an all-star caliber player.Jimmy Graham 22 PF 6'7" 250 Miami
B- C+ C B+ C+ B
Jimmy is an athletic freak that really needs to work on his offensive game. The tools are there, they just need to be sharpened. Defensively, though, he can get it done. Blocks, steals, and rebounding positioning are his forte. Graham's potential is the sky if he can improve his offensive game.
Steve Young 24 PG 6'2" 200 BYU
C+ B- B C+ D+ B
Young is a heady floor general that is a sneaky good scorer. Athletically he is a very quick and capably strong guard whose only limitation is his white-man hops. He's much more of finesse player inside and has a very good mid-range game. His 3 point shot could use some work. He is a very good ball handler that knows how to distribute the ball and get teammates involved. If there is a deficiency for Steve it is that he's not a shower defensive player. He's solid as a perimeter defender, but doesn't take chances to get steals or blocks. He's a below-average rebounder for a guard. Jared Berggren 22 C 6'10" 245 Wisconsin B- B D B- C+ B Kenny Frease 21 C 7'0" 275 Xavier B D+ C- C+ C+ B Sean Mosley 22 SG 6'4" 210 Maryland C B C C+ C- B Emmanuel Negedu 22 PF 6'7" 220 Tennessee B C- D C+ B- B DeAndre Liggins 23 SF 6'6" 210 Kentucky C+ C+ C+ B- C+ B Mike Rosario 21 SG 6'3" 185 Florida B- B C C D+ C Eloy Vargas 22 PF/C 6'11" 245 Kentucky B- D+ C- B B- B Zack Novak 21 G 6'4" 210 Michigan B B C+ C C- C Tu Holloway 23 PG 6'0" 190 Xavier C+ B- B- C+ D+ B
