Tim Pig 6'10 230 C/PF 22 University of Washington C+ C C B+ B+ B Growing up a hockey player, Tim Pig was exhausted with the rigors of a full-time hockey schedule (experts have agreed that it is the second most difficult sport, just after boxing, with basketball coming in fourth) and decided to pursue a less-demanding career in basketball after a series of injuries on the ice. Tim Pig's natural athleticism allowed him to make the transition seamlessly, and it's what scouts noticed the first time they saw him on the hardwood at the University of Washington, playing alongside current NBA players Isaiah Thomas, Quincy Pondexter, and Justin Holiday. His recent introduction to the game does have its drawbacks, however. Tim can be wildly inconsistent on the offensive end - he'll have games where he puts up 25 points with efficiency, and games where he goes 1-for-10 from the field. Still, you can expect the "Big Pig", as he is known by his inner circle, to average a double-double and at least a couple of blocks per game. He's relentless on the boards and plays with high energy, so even if the shots aren't falling he's still going to contribute on the defensive end. While his inside game needs polish, he is an above-average free throw shooter for a big man. As far as potential goes, scouts say that it's certainly there as his raw athleticism leaves plenty of room for growth, not to mention he's still getting a grasp of the fundamentals. Still, having not played organized basketball until his college days, he did miss out on some valuable experience when he was younger.
