I'm sure many of you have heard of it since it gets talked about on TMB a decent bit, but the Mississippi roast was fantastic and incredibly easy. I wouldn't use a whole stick of butter though lol
Ingredients 1 Chuck Roast 1 Packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix 1 Packet McCormick Au Jus mix 5 whole pepperoncini peppers 1 stick butter Original recipe makes 6 Servings
From <http://www.bigoven.com/recipe/mississippi-roast/290023>
Preparation 1. Buy a chuck roast. 2. Put it in the crock pot. 3. Sprinkle Hidden Valley ranch dressing on top. 4. Sprinkle McCormick Au Jus mix on top. Put a stick of butter on top. Put about 5 pepperoncini peppers on top. (You buy them in a jar.). Do NOT add water.. Cook in crock pot on low for about 8 hours. .

I made this last fall and it was so good DRUNKEN CHICKEN – J.GUMBO’S STYLE www.4you-withlove.com/2013/03/drunken-chicken-j-gumbos-inspired.htmlIngredients: 2.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs 3/4 cup oil (I used coconut but you can use any oil of your choice) 1/2 cup flour 2 15-oz cans of diced tomatoes 1 12-oz bottle of beer 2 Tbsp garlic powder 1 Tbsp thyme 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp white pepper 1-2 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp file powder 1 tsp paprika 1 Tbsp salt 1 Tbsp molasses 4-5 bay leaves. Directions: In a heavy pot, add oil and add your flour (if using coconut oil, melt the oil before you add the flour). Cook until your roux is the color of peanut butter. When your roux is a nice brown, add all your ingredients except for your the chicken. Stir. In a crock pot, place your chicken. Then pour your roux/tomato/spice blend over the chicken. Stir. Place the lid on your crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour. Turn down to low and cook for an additional 5 hours. When your chicken is cooked, remove the bay leaves and take two forks and shred your chicken. Now, just pour over rice, tortilla chips, or on a bun and enjoy! pair it with this sweet stew and it's even better Bumblebee Stew Ingredients 1 chopped onion 1 cup corn 30 oz. black beans (drained and rinsed) 2 cans diced tomatoes (regular or with diced chilis) 1/2 tsp chili powder 2 cloves minced garlic 1/2 tsp dried oregano 2 cups broth (chicken or veggie) 1 T butter 1/2 cup honey 2 cups white rice, cooked salt and pepper to taste Instructions Saute the chopped vegetables and butter. Add spices, honey, chicken broth Heat to boiling. Spoon over cooked rice

Roasted vegetables
Prepare any vegetable (broccoli, brussel sprouts, and asparagus are my favs) Liberally toss in olive oil and salt (liberal like Karl Marx, not like Bill Clinton, you're basically frying them in olive oil and it's delicious) Place in roasting pan spread evenly Cook at 425 for 15-30 minutes, depending on the vegetable.

The Canes burger Ingredients
1lb ground beef (I like to use a lean meat) 1lb of ground sausage chopped Onion Sweet BBQ Sauce (I like to use a honey flavored BBQ) Grade A Maple Syrup (not that aunt jemima crap that isn't really maple syrup) Salt Pepper white cheddar cheese Optional (bacon)
Prep 1. Mix beef, Sausage, and onion together 2. add BBQ sauce and mix (put enough where there is plenty of BBQ sauce throughout the meat) 3. add maple syrup and mix (I usually pour for about 5 seconds) 4. add salt and pepper. 5. mix it all again 6. cook to taste 7. add cheese
Easily my favorite burger, trust the fat guy
