Good morning GMs and welcome to a salacious, special edition of Report that will be exploring the question: why the fuck would Trofie tell so many bold-faced lies when he knew they were easily disproved? We have no fucking clue - do you?
First, let's begin by setting the stage. Here is shout from last night after midnight.Bankz is a professional pot stirrer. He gets a tidbit of info from a disgrunted GM and he spins the fuck out of it to make himself feel better about his lot in life of being tasked with running his dad's pizza shop that he named after his favorite son (spoiler alert: it is not Bankz).
I have no doubt Bankz took some liberties with what Trofie told him for the sake of having a juicy scoop. But I assume it was based mostly on lies Trofie was feeding him. We'll address each of these in turn.Lie 1: Heebs and Trofie had a deal in place.Facts: I was clear with Trofie that I was inclined to say no, but I'd give it thought. I thought about it and figured out a way to get Trofie the pick he wanted and get a future with roughly the same value. I telegraphed my plan to Trofie because I like and respect him. Based on his bold-faced lies, I assume that is not mutual. Conclusion about Trofie saying we had a deal in place?Lie 2: Heebs is backing out of the deal.Facts: There never was a deal to back out of, as evidenced by Trofie's first lie. That said, the last text I sent to Trofie (posted below) was that I needed to get Odin to agree to a deal. I was clearly still happy to to do the deal once I had protection in place that Odin wasn't going to be buying with his futures. Conclusion about Trofie saying I was backing out of the deal?Lie 3: Heebs won't respond.Facts:Unfortunately the text didn't give a time stamp to the text I sent Trofie last night. But I was in bed before midnight, so I know it was before 1:35am, when Trofie said that I wasn't responding to him.
Editor's Note: I didn't spell out in painstaking detail to Trofie that Victor didn't have shit on his roster that I wanted and was just trying to make sure I wasn't going to get back doored by Vic trading Bias to Odin for future Bobcats, which would make those Bobcats picks suck. I merely told him the end game: I needed to have a deal in place with Odin first. Conclusion about Trofie saying I wasn't responding to him?We have been approached by numerous presses asking for the rights to our salacious story, but we feel like this book has already been written.PS - I still love you Trofie and Bankz

This is why in the upcoming JHB interview presented by Majic, Heebs and Trofie are named Top 5 GM's and Bankz is named a Bottom 5 GM.

Let me see if i get the intended timeline right:
Trof trades my picks to vic Vic trades those to herbs for his picks Herbs manages to take all of my useful players for half of my picks back I tank for two years and draft busts then herbs gets 1.1 the following year
Where am i wrong?

I would have traded the Spurs pick to Trof for the Bobcats. I also had to get a deal in place with Bruns, which I was working on.

But that is pretty much how I was hoping it would go until Bankz decided he needed to instigate.

Well that sounds like a lot of things i probably would not have participated in either way.

Not sure you would have done anything more than accept a deal for your picks, which you clearly were interested in negotiating.

In this situation it would have needed to be 35 and 36, not 34 and 35. So we would have gotten nowhere.

Why would you know I had your 36? It would have been a series of agreed upon deals that were posted at the same time. If you backed out, I would have dealt with that I guess. But I had specifically asked Trof not to mention it to anyone because I had a series of deals I was working on and I didn't need anyone else putting the puzzle pieces together.

1. It's amazing through all your hardwork you weren't able to put together that Odin has 1 pick available in the future. So much for Odin trading all those futures for Bias
2. You go radio silent the second I hit you up about contacting Victor. I hit you up right after you texted Victor , am I clairvoyant? No, Victor was aware what you were trying to do.
3. Little odd your return text I didn't receive doesn't have a "time stamp". Pretty convenient, from the most wishy washy guy in the league.
4. You Were trying to trade Taco for Nique, you knew that Taco asked me if I would do the deal you proposed to him . You then tell me if Taco does that deal the Spurs pick will be available. Which is shady as fuck.
5. I claim Newell is small. You then Respond " Newell isn't Tiny , basically a Young Edney with better Defense" At this point I knew you were batshit crazy. I don't know how big you are Heebs but 5'7 150 is small. Having Small hands doesn't make your dick any bigger hebrew.

Trofie you are lying like a motherfucker and you know it. I'll respond more fully when I don't have two kids to take care of. You have time to review your nonsense and edit as necessary before I tear you a second asshole later today.

1) I'm the drama King for a reason
2) If you aren't a shady GM this never happens
3) I'll bring the podcast back but not this weekend. Beyond busy.
4) Love you all
5) Victor get at me... its clear both these fugazi's are wasting your time.

So to begin, Trofie and I exchanged a number of texts throughout the day and I'm satisfied he didn't actually get my response to him last night, so his anger is understandable. The only thing he said in shout was that I was not responding - which based on screen caps of his texts from me that he sent me appears to be a completely reasonable belief. So I'm going to focus on the one thing I feel is important. Trofie said that You Were trying to trade Taco for Nique, you knew that Taco asked me if I would do the deal you proposed to him . You then tell me if Taco does that deal the Spurs pick will be available. Which is shady as fuck. That is 100 percent untrue. After discussing the statement with Trofie over text, he misinterpreted me saying that if he could trade for Nique I'd be willing to include the 35 Spurs pick in a trade with him as me saying I would trade him the 35 Spurs pick if he convinced Taco to accept my offer. The text string goes as follows: Trofie, "Want nique huh." Heebs, "You have an inside track? Spurs pick would be available if so." Trofie, "Taco asks for my advice on every deal." Heebs, "Got it." The text continues to discuss that I'd appreciate his discretion as I'm working multiple deals, that if the deals work out I'd be willing to do the Bobcats for Spurs deal. Trof says it's not promising that Taco accepts my deal. I ask him if he doesn't like Newell, he says he does even though he is a midget. I try (unsuccessfully) to convince Trof Newell isn't that small. Texts die for a few hours, when Trof explains why he wants the Spurs pick. What is clear from the exchange above is that 1. I did not tell Trofie if Taco accepts my offer the Spurs pick will be available. I did tell Trofie that if he traded for Nique I'd be willing to include the Spurs pick in a package. 2. I did not know Taco had asked Trofie anything when I told Trofie I'd include the Spurs pick in a deal for Nique. He told me that immediately after the text Trofie misinterpreted. One other important fact is that I had sent Taco a screen cap of mine and Trofie's texts, wanting to make sure he say the positive things Trofie said about Newell. That screen cap included my text to Trofie that I'd include the Spurs pick. Not only do I, as an experienced attorney, know better than to put damaging admissions of collusion in writing, I'm also not stupid enough to intentionally send them to the person I'm supposedly colluding against. Like I said above, I completely understand Trofie's reaction given that my response to his texts never pinged his phone. I think (based on the friendly texts we sent back and forth today) he understands my reaction to last night's shout conversation. It appears to be a giant misunderstanding. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go negotiate a trade with Victor.
