The Good: McDaniel was big time scorer during his career at Wichita State. He was able to bully opposing SFs with his strength and blow by PFs with his quickness. He’s a very good finisher inside and does a good job of getting to the free throw line. His high motor made him one of the best rebounders in college basketball. He could be a 20-10 type of player in the league. McDaniel’s very physical on defense; he has the potential to be a shutdown defender on forwards. He’s good at playing passing lanes and forcing turnovers.
The Bad: Not a great free throw shooter or jump shooter yet. He needs to work on extending the range on his jumper if he wants to play SF full time. Defensively, he won’t block too many shots due to his height.
The Ugly: Likely will never develop three point range, could become a good shooter from out to 18 feet.
