To add some more value to this here is my break down on the class from the summit numbers, by no means is this my breakdown of the Class as a whole, just basing this off what we have seen in the Summit numbers.
Top offensive bigs
1) Zach Randolph - 20.5 scoring on .448 shooting from the floor but what has me high on him is shooting 75% from the free throw line. Add that in with some solid rebound numbers. If he can show a heart beat on defense, can be a very good player.
2) Mehmet Okur - 16.5 scoring on 50% shooting from the floor. The efficency is there and shot well from the line (.917). Don't think he will be a high volume scorer like Randolph but will be very efficent. The concern is on his rebounding and defensive numbers.
3) Eddie Curry - 19.5 scoring on .517 shooting, very good and efficent numbers. Shot .692 from the free throw line. So by all apperances he can be a force on the offensive end but like Okur the concern will be on the defensive end and rebounding. In 17 more minutes played he had 1 less rebound than Okur.
Top Defensive bigs
1) Tyson Chandler - In 55 minutes he put up 3 shots and connected on 2 of them. He also put up 20 boards and had 5 blocks with 3 steals. By all indications he appears to be a real good defensive big that will rebound and play defense.
2) DeSanga Diop - In 40 minutes put up 6 shots and scoring on 4 but in those 40 minutes he put up 16 rebounds with 6 blocks and 2 steals.
3) Nigel Smith - in 50 minutes he put up a bit more shots than what you would want (19) but he did connect on 9 of them for a .474 fg%. So their is some potential there for efficency. The more impressive thing is pulling down the 20 boards and 7 blocks and 1 steal. He could be a force on the defensive end.
Top wings
1) Jason Richardson - Outstanding shooting numbers(.579 from the floor and .429 from 3) and put up 12 boards and 11 assists with 2 steals and 3 blocks. Unreal numbers.
2) Joe Johnson - Shot .513 from the field and shot .429 from 3. he put up 10 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals. He is giving people at the top of the board a lot to look at and consider, should be one of the top 2 picks in this draft.
3) Rodney White - Shot .535 from the floor and .333 from 3. He lead the summit in scoring with 27 ppg. He also pulled down 14 boards with 4 assists and 4 steals. If it was not for his lower grades he would be right there with Jason and Joe for consideration at 1.1.
Top PGs
1) Gilbert Arenas - He did not have the scoring efficency you would want to see (.323 from the floor and .333 from 3) but he is showing the ability to shoot the ball, if he can get some TLC and jump luck, he can be a very good PG for a long time He was 3rd in Assists with 14 and scored 25.5 a game.
2) TOny Parker - He was 2nd in assists with 15 and did score 16 ppg. He also showed defense in putting up 5 steals but those turnovers are a huge concern.
3) Earl Watson - In 60 minutes he led the summit in assists with 18 but he only put up 7 shots for a 5.5 PPG average. He also had no steals, so not sure what to expect on the defensive end.
