Where the finished last year- 7th seed in the playoffs. Conference semi-finals before losing to the Timberwolves in 5 games
Whats new - not really much. Druce decided to bring the band back together and did so on some nice deals.
3035 Outlook - this team has the look of an easy playoff team but the question will be how far can they go? Druce is hoping that keeping it all together for a full season will be the determining factor after some trades last year. However word on the street is Tobias is available so we have to wonder if another shake-up of some sort is on the horizon. My best guess? I think a loss in the conference finals is most likely.
Golden State Warriors
Last Year This Year
Where they finished last year- 6th seed losing to the Timberwolves in the 5 games
Whats new- big loss here was losing Newell. Taco was very unhappy as he posted many harsh words scorning Newell of his decision.
3035 Outlook- the Newell loss is going to be one that hurts this team as it will struggle picking up that production. PG is such an essential piece to a good team and losing a top caliber PG is a big kick in the nuts. However having guys like Clegane, Lockhart and Cousy helps soften the blow. Lets see if those 3 can pick it up and carry this team to the playoffs once again. My guess, another trip to the playoffs with a first round exit.
Los Angeles Clippers

Where the finished last year- outside of the playoffs with one of the worst records in the league
Whats new- not much, couple of lower level guys were added in Price and Gminski. Klay Thompson was another addition but no top of the line guys.
3035 outlook- hard to say what the direction of this team is going. Great tanking effort last year lead to a top 5 pick for the Raptors as Dirt traded the pick away a while back. Should be interesting to see if this collection of cast-offs can put anything together. My guess, team once again finishes towards the bottom of the league. Dirt doesn't own his picks so look for him to try anything to be competitive.
Los Angeles Lakers

Where they finished last year- 8th seed and swept in the first round
Whats new- well most importantly there is new ownership in LA. Tyler made his return last season and didnt mess with things too much this offseason
3035 Outlook- this teams core is pretty much back and looking decent. Ransey looks like a very solid player on a good contract, he could be in line for a career year if things go right. the Burks contract is looking worse and worse. It will be important for Tyler to get some good use out of him this year after not doing much last year. Big question on this team is getting some scoring outside of Ransey and Sharman. MY guess, they miss the playoffs but Ransey has a great year.
Phoenix Suns

Where they finished last year- 3rd seed in the west. Lost in game 7 of the first round to the Grizzlies
Whats new- lost Len Bias, gained James Young and Lamar Odom
3035 Outlook- this team probably got better this off season. Even though they were a 3 seed last year it was in the very weak Western conference and they didnt have the best record. Odom should help and easily will replace Bias. James Young can be a decent contributor. Add in some solid growth from Lever and this team should be better. They may not end up with a better seed, but look for them to make it out of the first Round this year

Where they finished last year- another tanking year for the Blazers lead to a bottom record. Ended up with the 3rd pick in the draft
Whats new- alot new on this team. With the 3rd pick in the draft Blazers selected Arenas and all indications point to him being a stud. Add in a much talked about offseason trade where they acquired Vucevic and Woodson. Blazers also had some cap space and brought in Horry on a 1 year deal.
3035 Outlook- this team looks solid. after trading away the Blazers 36 first its going to be important for this team to make the playoffs. The Western Conference is weak so it should be too difficult. While the playoffs are a possibility, its probably a year or two away from being a legit contender.

Where they finished last year- outside of the playoffs and a late lottery pick
Whats new- really the only thing to talk about here is new ownership as Delap takes over for Yawn.
3035 outlook- really the outlook of this team couldnt be any better. After years of wasting away under terrible ownership, a new day has begun in Seattle. Its likely to take a few years for new ownership to get an understanding of the game, but at least there is an owner that cares
