Michael Olowokandi 22 C 7'0 269 Pacific B+ D D B B A Strengths:
Olowokandi’s year-to-year improvement, size, strength and athleticism has scouts excited about his potential to be a dominant big man. At 7 feet and 269 pounds, he has quick feet and moves extremely well for a big man. He’s very active on both ends of the floor. A presence in the middle defensively, and good at contesting shots in the paint. Olowokandi has good instincts as a rebounder, and can grab boards that aren’t his area. On offense, he has an improving post game, but mostly relies on his size and strength to overpower defenders. He’s a very good finisher up close and has a soft touch around the rim. He shot just over 60% during his junior season. With the proper development, Olowokandi has the ability to become one of the best bigs in the league. Weaknesses:
Played against inferior competition in the Big West, may take him extra time to acclimate to the next level. His free throw shooting was a problem during his college career, and his shot needs a lot of work.
