Larry Hughes 20 SG 6'5 184 St. Louis B- C+ C+ B- C A Strengths:
Hughes has the all the things you look for in a shooting guard physically. He’s an extremely gifted athlete with the potential to be a star at the next level. During his lone season at St. Louis, he showed he has the ability to flat out score. He did an excellent job of creating his own shot in the midrange game and taking the ball inside to finish athletically at the rim. Was able to get the free throw line an impressive 8 times a game. Hughes is good at handling pressure and initiating the offense, he may be able to eventually transition over to point guard with some development. On defense, he has quick hands and does a good job jumping passing lanes. Weaknesses:
Will take chances for steals more often than not, would be a more effective defender if he just stayed with his man. Has a smooth shooting stroke, but doesn’t always keep his elbow in resulting in inconsistency on his jumper and poor shooting percentages. He’ll need to work on extending his range to the pro three-point line.
