Strengths:
Pierce is an electric scorer that can put the ball in the net in a variety of different ways thanks to his nearly complete offensive game. His strength and crafty ball handling allow him to get to the rim and create his own shot in the midrange game. He’s an excellent finisher inside that has a knack for drawing fouls and going to the free throw line where he shoots a good percentage. He has a fluid motion on his jumper and is already a dangerous midrange shooter. Pierce’s size and strength make him a good rebounder for a wing, especially on the defensive glass. As a defender, he has the basketball IQ and length to cause turnovers and chip in a block a game. Pierce has the natural ability and potential to be a long time franchise cornerstone.
Weaknesses:
Doesn’t have great lateral quickness and sometimes looks a bit heavy footed when trying to defend smaller wings on the perimeter. His three point shooting declined during his junior season and he’ll have to become a more consistent outside shooter to reach his scoring potential.
