Strengths:
Arguably the best prospect to ever come into the league. Has the build and strength of a power forward with the speed and quickness of a point guard. James has an impressive feel for the game, he possesses incredible court vision and great passing ability. He makes his teammates significantly better and should flirt with triple-doubles each game. With the ball in his hands there is nothing a defender can do when he decides to go to the rim. He’s an excellent finisher inside and on the break, he can use his strength and athleticism to finish inside after absorbing contact. He isn’t a consistent jump shooter yet, but possesses a very good motion and does a good job of keeping his body square with his elbow tucked in. James rebounds extremely well, he’s able to elevate over taller players to clean the glass. Defensively, he has the athletic tools to be one of the league’s best defenders. He’ll get his fair share of steals because of his quickness and ability to dart into passing lanes. Will chase down and block shots in transition as well as anyone in the league. James should be the league’s most athletic player from day one. He has a huge ceiling and still has quite a bit of room to improve, which is scary.
Weaknesses:
He needs to become a more consistent shooter from mid-range and at the free throw line. Has a tendency to go for the flashy play which leads to turnovers. He needs to take less risks and work on taking better care of the basketball.
