Strengths:
An extremely versatile scorer that can take his man off the dribble and knock down mid-to-long-range jump shots against bigger defenders or go to work in the post against smaller ones. He possesses excellent size and strength for a small forward, to the point where some scouts think he’d be better at the four. Anthony has a quick first step to blow by defenders. He likes to initiate contact and get to the free throw line, where he shoots a good percentage. Has a very smooth stroke and good lift on his jumper. Not an incredibly high leaper, but gets off the floor quickly and has a great second bounce. Shows great instincts as a rebounder and cleans the glass at a high rate for his position. Anthony has a high ceiling and could become one of the best offensive players in the league.
Weaknesses:
Anthony needs to play with much more effort on defense, or else he could be a liability. Will often sell out for steals rather than sticking with his man. Doesn’t bring much to the table as a passer, and simply isn’t going to give the ball up in most situations. Needs to work on extending the range on his jumper.
