Good afternoon sim GMs!
As many of you know, realignment is in the air. No, we're not talking about fake doctors accelerating arthritis - we're talking about wholesale movement of teams from one conference to another for the sake of competitive balance. Slash, Fason is a pussy.
With so much talk about realignment, we at the Report created a pet project to try to re-balance each division by asking four unnamed GMs to participate in a fantasy draft to create the easiest division possible. Each GM added commentary for their selection, which has been provided with minor edits immaterial to the content of the comments. The order of selection is noted next to each pick.
So, without further ado, we bring you the Cuban Report's Special Report on TMBSL Realignment!

Atlantic
1. JW - I don't think JW has put together a great team since he came back to run the Pacers. Sometimes I wonder if he's just here to help people get under the hard cap. Seems like a good guy, but his heart isn't in it
5. Andrewluck - The Challenge rules. Rookies are always first on the chopping block. YOU GOTTA EARN IT!
9. Canes - Always able to get talent on his squad, but almost never translates that talent into a team that you fear.
13. Fecta - Picking him here because he hasn't proven anything yet. Kind of unfair since he joined in a shitty situation and has spent the past few seasons clearing the decks, but thems the breaks.
17. Shaun - there have been a lot of high draft picks in Cleveland lately and very little to show for it
21. 2poor - Big fan of 2poor. Not a big fan of 2poor's team building efforts in his later Jazz years or his early returns with the Kings
25. Pete - Overrated GM, underrated lover, always quick with a joke and he'll light up your smoke.
Central
2. Bankz - he is the weakest GM on this list because he hasn't logged on in two weeks and he hasn't two weeks updated the owed two weeks picks thread two two weeks TWO WEEKS and he's probably going to quit before we even finish this RT [editors note: nailed it]
6. Ward - he is the weakest gm left because he traded from the tribe of benjamin to benjamin to benji. doesn't that abbreviating blankety blank know that length is the #1 measurable that we can't even measure? it's so important it's not even on the scoreboard right next to OBP
10. Gene - he is the weakest gm left because he hasn't done anything yet. no hard feelings, the absence of evidence is evidence of absence
14. SPL - He is the weakest gm left because since 3035 he's turned 10 firsts into garbage and DeSagana Diop. terrible draft credentials, it's crazy that taco is off the board already
18. Tyler - he is the weakest gm left because he hasn't done anything bad but he hasn't done anything good either. I mean I can't think of a single trade he's made, for instance one involving a top tier wing player, just nothing comes to mind at all
22. Vic - he is the weakest GM left. Every gm left has a title, but every gm besides vic has built multiple good teams. you know what you call the guy who graduates at the bottom of his med school class: #ohwow
26. Trof - we're down to the best of the best. trofie is my final selection. he's an elite gm and deserves to be this far, but i don't think he has the patience the other gms on this list have, and that's enough to put him a notch below.
Midwest
3. Yawn - He's built a couple different 60 win teams, but is usually going to win 30-45 games a year. His teams are rarely a threat to win the division or make a run in the playoffs. He hates tanking so you don't really have to worry about him drafting a superstar. And he'll often take on terrible contracts for dump bucks so he's not going to sign one either. He's the perfect division mate.
7. MJ - he isn't really active and I can only remember him having success when he landed Majic Johnson and Greg Monroe in that one offseason. I think of MJ as a rich man's Jerry West.
11. Taco - I don't think he has the patience or creativity to build title contending teams. Seems like the ceiling for his teams will always be 50 wins.
15. Ayyoe - He does a good job of managing his roster, but he isn't too aggressive when it comes to making trades. With that style of GMing it takes incredible draft and free agent luck to build a title contender. Will probably need to change how he does things once Sim Dump retires.
19. Majic - He's gotten much better at this and I like that he's been aggressive about taking advantage of having Baylor and Arenas. But I think his success has had more to do with good fortune than him making great moves or coming up with a strong plan. He's not somebody that I expect to consistently build title contending teams.
23. Dumptime - This feels like a good spot for him. I'm kind of surprised he lasted this long, he usually gets underrated when we do those GM ratings.
27. Ankly - Heebs is the last person I'd want in my division. I do think Ank is now the best GM in the west by a wide margin. He's always been good at putting together teams and finding guys that are undervalued.
Pacific
4. Lids - easy selection here. he is brand new to the league, has no idea what hes doing. plus he has been MIA since joining. Seems like a pushover for at least the next decade.
8. Delap - another newer guy that hasnt proven much yet. Like the opportunity to have 2 fresh newbies in my division. may cause problems down the line but I am not too worried about it
12. Odin - the guy is always tinkering and changing his lineup. he is never the worst team, but he is always stuck in the below average middle.
16. Eric - Perennially decent but never great. Find random studs but never can win big with them. Like my chances on building a team against him
20. GBG - the Thunder are in complete rebuild mode at this time. Outside of the hugely successful run for the Thunder, it has yet to be seen whether GBG can build a team and compete
24. KN - theres no doubt that his teams have been dominant these last 10 years, but his top players are getting older and have been replaced by younger guys around the league. Time will tell if he can rebuild once they are gone
28. Heebs – because fuck it. And fuck him.
