I went ahead and compiled the numbers for the two games played, here is a copy of the spreadsheet. The analysis is based off of the 2 games in the Summit.
Before I get into this section, let me remind you that this is based off of 2 games. In no way am I saying that a person in the winners column should be drafted ahead of someone I have in my losers.
Big Winners
Antawan Jamison - Put up 30 attempts over 2 games and shot .60%. He also got to the free throw line a total of 22 times and shot .818 from the line. He averaged 27 points a game, 10 boards, 2.5 assists and 3 steals a game. The concern coming in with him was moving from PF to SF and how he would handle, the defensive numbers are very encouraging. About the only concern for him is the 6 turnovers.
Raef LaFrentz - He shot .481 from the floor on 27 shots playing PF. He also got to the free throw line 15 times and shot 66%. With that scoring efficency it was good to see him come down with 27 boards (2nd highest to Dolaec's 29) along with having a heartbeat on defense with 3 steals and 2 blocks.
Keon Clark - He is the appearance of being a very efficent defensive rebounding big. He put up 11 shots and shot .818 from the floor for a 10.5 average but he will be drafted for the defensive side, he put up 9 blocks and a steal along with 22 boards. The only concern with him is the 5 turnovers.
Michael Olowokandi - Very similar to LaFrentz, put up a fair amount of shots (34) and was efficent in his scoring at 47%. He also got to the line 10 times for 60%. He put up 22 rebounds and put up 4 blocks over the 2 games.
Jason Williams - Put up a nice volume of shots (30) and shot .467 from the floor. He was also the leader in assists with 25 (tie with Rafer Alston). He also ended up with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Big Losers -
Vince Carter - The good thing is that the volume of shot attempts are there, he lead the 2 games with 38 attempts, however he shot .342. If he can get luck in training camps and points put into his scoring it should fix the scoring %. He also put up 18 boards and 8 assists over the 2 games, so there is a lot to like but there is now a red flag with his scoring efficency.
Dirk Nowitzki - You went into the summit expecting to seeing scoring efficency with B- and B scoring grades but he shot .378 from the floor on 37 shots. Like Vince, the volume is there with his shot attempts, if his efficency can become better he will be a very interesting pick. The other concern is how his game will play in the software, 0 blocks, 2 steals and 17 rebounds (8.5 rpg) in 62 minutes.
Paul Pierce - 31 shot attempts and .323 from the floor, he is right there with Vince Carter in terms of having a good volume and he is very much like Vince where there are areas of his game that you like with 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and a block. The inefficent shooting and turnovers (8) are a red flag.
Ricky Davis - another profile guy that did not contribute much of anything. However, he only played 29 minutes over the two games.
Larry Hughes - Another guy that did not shoot well .375 from the floor on 24 shots. About the only thing that you can cling to is that he could play defense with 4 steals over the 2 games.
