Strengths:
Possibly the most complete big to ever enter the league. Duncan can dominate the game at both ends of the floor. Offensively, he has very good footwork in the post and a soft touch around the basket with either hand. Not a big leaper or flashy dunker, but finishes at a great clip. His size and strength allowed him to get to the free throw line more than eight times a game last season. Solid ball handler and very good passer for his size, he led his team in assists in his senior season. He’s a relentless rebounder on the offensive glass. On defense, Duncan should be a mainstay on the league’s all defensive teams. He does a great job contesting shots at the rim, and while he isn’t the quickest player, he displays great anticipation and timing. His size and high basketball IQ should make him one of the better post defenders in the league. He’ll dominate the defensive glass with his combination of length and anticipation. Duncan has the potential to be a Hall Of Famer and one of the best players to ever play in the league.
Weaknesses:
The only true weakness in Duncan’s game is his free throw shooting. At Wake Forest, his free throw percentage decreased each season, falling to 63.6% during his senior season. Although he is a poor free throw shooter, his shot is far from broken, as he’s shown the ability to step out and knock down mid-range jump shots at a good rate.
