Keith Van Horn 22 SF/PF 6'10 220 Utah B B D+ C+ B B Strengths:
Versatile scorer that has great size for a small forward. At 6’10 and 220 pounds, Van Horn can take smaller defenders into the post and score over them. He has a good post-game and excellent touch around the basket. Van Horn is also a very good shooter; he is nearly automatic from mid-range and can step out and shoot a good percentage from beyond the arc. Defensively, he figures to start out at small forward, but he could get some time at power forward due to his rebounding and ability to block the occasional shot. As a rebounder, he uses his size well for positioning on defensive rebounds and does a good job crashing the offensive glass for putbacks. Weaknesses:
Van Horn is only an average athlete; his lack of leaping ability could hurt him when trying to finish inside. His below average lateral quickness could make him a defensive liability when he’s guarding small forwards. He’ll need to get stronger if he’s going to slide down and play the four.
