 Jay Williams 21 PG 6'2 195 Duke B- B- B- B- C- A  Strengths:
Was the best player in college basketball last season and is the top point guard prospect in this draft. Williams has a strong body that enables him to overpower smaller guards and absorb contact when he penetrates. He owns a nice crossover and a quick first step to get past most defenders. His leaping ability makes him a good finisher in the paint and on the break. Williams has a nice three-point shot, which he is capable of hitting in transition, spotting up, or shooting off the dribble. On defense, he’s good at harassing opposing guards. His lateral quickness makes it difficult for ball handlers to take him off the dribble. Weaknesses:
Surprisingly poor free throw shooter for a player with his ability. Can play out of control sometimes, as he tries to do too much with the ball. Williams has a tendency to make bad decisions which can result in poor shot selection or turnovers. Doesn’t always play like a true point guard, he brings more of a scorer’s mentality to the position. |

I really liked how he was starting to play for the Bull before that Motorcycle accident. Really liked him in College as well.
