Strengths:
Wagner has loads of offensive potential and the ability to become a big-time scorer. He’s a solid athlete with good hops and above average quickness. Was one of the few players in college that could create offense for himself. Wagner is a good ball handler that can take his man off the dribble and glide into the lane. Although undersized he is a very creative finisher in the lane and has a strong body to absorb contact.
Weaknesses:
Although Wagner has a point guard’s body, he has few point guard skills and lacks the ability to distribute the ball. He’s inconsistent as a shooter from mid-range and beyond the arc. His shot selection leaves a lot to be desired. Does not play with much effort on defense, whether he’s on the ball or off, and is a non-factor on the glass.
