 Amar'e Stoudemire 20 PF/C 6'10 245 Cypress Creek High School B+ C D+ C+ B- A
Strengths:
A 20-year-old big with huge potential as a scorer. Stoudemire is simply tremendous athletically, he has no troubles finishing at the rim with his leaping ability and uses his quickness well to weave around defenders for easy lay ins. He has a good-looking face up game and a nice shooting stroke, he should eventually be able to develop three-point range. Stoudemire does a good job using his leverage to get position for offensive rebounds. Defensively, he shows very good timing when coming over as a weakside shot blocker. Weaknesses:
Stoudemire doesn’t maximize his physical tools regularly on defense and has a long way to go as a post defender. He could be extremely foul prone. Although he has a big body, adding 15-20 pounds would ensure that he wouldn't get pushed off the blocks against the bigger players. He doesn’t grab many defensive rebounds, could stand to work harder on the glass. |
