Melvin Ely 24 PF/C 6'10 260 Fresno State B C- D B B C Strengths:
Impact player on the defensive side of the floor because of his ability to block shots and control the paint. He has long arms and great anticipation skills when coming over from the weakside. Ely is a good rebounder that really hustles to attack the glass. On offense, he has decent touch around the basket, capable of converting shots within close and tip-ins. Overall, he has good shot selection and knows his limits as a shooter. Weaknesses:
While he is solid offensively with his back to the basket, he would become a more potent scorer If he improved his face up game. More range on his shot would benefit him greatly as he is only consistent from about 12 feet out. Ely needs to add more upper body strength, as sometimes he isn’t strong enough to finish the play after taking contact.

Could be a sleeper profile player if he has good potential.

Should be at least decent with those blocks.
