Strengths:
Allen has good length and athleticism for a center. He’s very agile and a playmaker on defense. His quick leaping, length and timing make him a good shot blocker. He’s rangy with solid instincts when playing passing lanes. His long arms help him make up for his lack of physicality as a post defender. Allen has keen instincts as a rebounder, he should improve as he gets stronger. On offense, he’s best as a rim runner and offensive rebounder, but does have a decent touch inside.
Weaknesses:
Allen isn’t very skilled offensively, he has poor mechanics on his shot and can only score from 10 feet and in. He has a high upside on defense, but has a way to go technique wise. He gets pushed around too often by opposing centers.
