Strengths:
Skilled stretch four that has a smooth shooting stroke and the athletic ability to make plays in transition. Lydon has pro three-point range and shoots from the outside with a lot of confidence. He doesn’t have much of a post-game, but has a soft touch around the rim and is a tip dunk threat on the offensive glass. On defense, Lydon shows a high IQ, strong fundamentals and good instincts. Off the ball, he’s active in passing lanes and pretty good as a shot blocker. He can go up and get defensive rebounds in traffic.
Weaknesses:
More of a spot up shooter than a prolific scorer. Lydon doesn’t have an advanced post game and rarely creates his own shot. He often struggles to finish in traffic and lacks physicality. He’s a tweener defensively that doesn’t have the quickness to defend most wings or the strength to effectively defend post players.
