I've been leaning more towards Westbrook lately. Also you cannot "change" their play styles.

They're both excellent penetrators. They're both excellent at drawing fouls. They're both okay passers. They're both bad defensively. They're both mouthy malcontents.
Durant makes at elite percentages. The rim, free throw line, three point line, anywhere you want a guy to make it he will do so at an elite level.
Westbrook doesn't. If you want someone to dunk hard enough to break the backboard and their own hand and the morale of the other team's fans that haven't even been born yet, he's your guy. But he still only makes in the low 30s from three, high 30s from long twos - those are poor. He makes in the high 50s at the rim and low 80s from the line - those are good, but not great.
Durant is in year 10 with 25k minutes, one year deal with one player option. He had three operations to repair a broken foot. Westbrook is in year 9 with 21k minutes, two year deal with one player option. He had two operations to repair a torn meniscus.
.
Give me Durant, if things go south we know he'll leave the team next year anyway. If things go great and I have to pay for it with a super max that cripples the team for the next umpteen years, well, flags fly forever.

Might be a more interesting conversation if point guard wasn't such a stacked position, but give me KD hands down

Not to go all Bill Simmons, but does Westbrook's demeanor / effort level matter? I would rather play with someone who appears to care more than anyone else every single night.

Demeanor is a negative for both of them IMO. Screaming and snarling about everything doesn't make a person more fun to play with, it makes them less. Say what you will about the Warriors chucklemongers, I'd rather have someone whooping it up when I make a good play than pissing and moaning about every call. (Obviously Draymond does both so he's a wash.)
